I fully agree with you to an extent. I too think that its way to easy for the weak minded to get there hands on gear or the like and think that they can simply make up for 5 yrs of not lifting by simply poking or dopeing. Ive been lifting since I was 13 and didnt get into the "dark" till I was about 235 and stalled. That was about 8 yrs after first touching weights. I love'em but I still think that some need to learn the ropes before stepping on the field.
Then people want to know why they lost all the weight or why they hurt themselves so easy.
A tree wont stand without its roots. Experience and dedication are your roots, gear... well thats only fertilizer to make the leaves look greenier.
But as Ive said plenty of times before. To each their own!
