I thought it might be a good way to measure hormone levels that is cheaper than blood work.

I was thinking of getting one for myself to play around with....Ive seen it cheaper than that, and Ive also heard you can get them at Walgreens, etc...

holy

i just got one and am going to send in the samples this weekend.
saliva testing isn't as accruate of a reading as blood serum but it is much cheaper, discrete, and should give a good idea of your levels.

I'm posting this for INFORMATIVE reasons only.....don't take this as a, "Oh, glad he posted that. I'm DEF. not buying it now!"....rather use it in the decision making process, if at all.

Here's what one user review said on another website (BN):

"was very disappointed to learn that this only tests basic testosterone level. all the other tests are an extra $29 each. i feel the product advertising is misleading. to get an accurate picture of all your levels will cost almost $200 total. this is not cost effective as advertised."

yeah, the kit includes one test only. i'm going to just check my free test.

with the same kit you can have things like cortisol, estradiol, dhea, dht, etc. checked but additional fees apply.

i called my doc and it would have run me $125 to check only my free test ($65 office visit + $60lab fee). plus, it's a pain in the ass to go to the doc.

So, im guessing that the saliva is put on a sponge type deal, sort of like on of the drug test/toothbrush/ setups we use at work, then stored in a sealed bag?
