I'm in my 3rd week on Havoc and the Cramps are starting to get bad. I don't like bannanas.
What cat I take to help?

Thanks

Absolutely increase your fluid intake (this includes electrolyte formulated drinks such as gatorade), and add in taurine at 5-6grams/day minimum.

Check out my havoc write-up in our section here on AM. I get into the whole physiology of the muscle pumps/cramps, and how to prevent them. :D

Here it is:

-Taurine: Taurine is an amino sulfonic acid that is found in high levels in the skeletal and heart muscles of humans, as well as in white blood cells, and the central nervous system. Taurine aids the movement of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium in and out of cells and thus helps generate nerve impulses. Muscle pumps/cramping occurs when there is a disruption of the movement of these electrolytes in and out of muscle cells. See below for a more detailed explanation of the pathway. Dosing: (5-6) grams/daily can be taken to help limit excessive muscle pumps/cramping that may occur. I recommend dosing both pre(3 grams)/post(3 grams)workout.

-Fluid/electrolyte intake: It is also very important that you keep your fluid and electrolyte(sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium) intake very sufficient throughout the day. Fluid/electrolyte loss through training depletes interstitial fluids(basically the fluid that lies outside of the cells)which also attributes to muscle pump/cramping issues, and here's how:

Painful muscle pumps/cramps occur due to loss of the osmotically active particles(mainly NaCL or salt) outside the cell within the interstitial spaces. This causes a disturbance in the osmotic balance(pull) of fluid moving in and out of muscle cells. This then results in muscle cells excessively swelling(because they contain more osmotically active particles and fluid)and you develop very painful pumps. This process can also lead to problems with the calcium pump inside muscle cells. This will cause VERY painful cramps due to the muscle being locked in a contractive state. This is why adequate fluid and electrolye intake during training is very important to maintain this balance and prevent these issues.

my back pumps were terrible, nothing i did helped

bananas, taurine, extra water intake, nothing

made me rethink my next cycle

it sucks spending good money on a good product that you cant get 100% out of because back pumps hinder your workout

Alway a concern when cycling. Taurine and much higher water intake other than that you have to gut it out.

Very true. Replacing fluid volume is very important. Make sure to have electrolytes (sodium/potassium/magnesium) replaced as well. Sodium's influence as an extracellular cation alone greatly influences the shifting of fluid in and out of muscle cells.

As you lose sodium through routes of sensible (fluid loss that you're aware of such as urination and through the g.i. tract) and insensible (Fluid loss that you are not aware of such as through the skin/evaporation and the lungs) fluid loss, that osmotic pull that typically exists is absent. This causes muscle cells to retain too much fluid. This is primarily the etiology of how the painful pumps begin.

Havoc week 3 (30 mg per day)
Sus500 - day 7 (2 pills per day)

Well atleast my cramps are not in my abbs. I cramp up in my legs (all areas). Im drinking lots of water since the stuff makes me thirsty all the time. I'll try the taurine and hope it helps.

One thing I noticed even before I started the Sus500 is the amount of times I have to wake up to pee now. Don't know if the prostate is hurting from this Havoc or what? Im on cycle suppot and my BP is perfect.

I have never been able to take creatine because of cramping.
