need a few tips (noobie)

Hi,

I don't want to be the annoying noob and come in here asking all kinds of dumb and annoying questions trying to figure this out. So instead I am asking for a little help getting started educating myself.

I have read the rules and the faq. I have read and read a lot of the threads in here and to be honest I am not sure what I am reading. I don't understand the chemical names or what they do? A lot of the terminology is foreign to me as well. I am completely new to the juice but have decided that it is time for me to learn.

I like to educate myself but need a little guidance on where to start. What do you guys recommend I read to help me start understanding the world of steroids so I can make an intelligent decision as to what I should do. If anything.

I appreciate any and all tips, pointers or help. Please feel free to PM.

If this post was out of line please forgive me but tell me why. I am that new to all of this including online forums. I don't believe I broke any rules?

Thanks, Gronan

My goals really are to learn right now. I'm not sure I'm looking to do anything but learn at this point. That said, should I decide I would like to do something: I am in my mid 40's I am close to 6'4" and I currently weight around 228 lbs. I am interested in growing muscle mass. I have no desire to compete or anything. Just to grow as big as humanly possible at my age. I have been lifting for 2 years and making minimal gains with just lifting splits and eating high proteins. I am now looking into the possibility of more. But I am big time green.

I appreciate your reply.

steroid dot com has a lot of good info. AAS is a very overwhelming subject when u just start out. just get the basics down (what different AAS is/does). anything after that just come here and ask. there are plenty of ppl on here eagerly waiting to answer questions and help out

I am new here as well, been browsing the past couple of days. Would like to see what others have to say. I never plan on taking actual steroids and I may not even take prohormones, but I would like to learn as much as I can about them to make an educated decision.

yeah you need to understand all of the basics of steroids, research what up on the side effects that are possible by taking steroids, next is to research what you need to do to combat the side effects after you get a basic understanding of this process it is time to research the different steroids themselves and what exactly your goals are. This will help you narrow down what steroid or combination of them is right for you. After that apply the same process with side effects and learning how that particular sauce is likely going to effect you as some are harsher than other and for example some can aromatize and others cannot. There really is alot that goes into it and make sure to be extremely knowledgeable about PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) before you do anything

Hope this helps

Normally the recomendation would be to lift for a few more years to meet your genetic max. But if your in your mid 40's, its not really the same, in my opinion.

If your thinking about real gear, mesomorphosis dot com, read all the profiles and decide which one will help you reach your goals.

If you want to go the legal OTC steroid route, thats easily done, just ask.

Man Law: Unless you weigh 3 times your height in inches, you shouldnt be doing steroids.

This is a great site, but can be confusing for someone who admittedly knows little....the problem lies in the fact that this site has so much space dedicated to Pro Hormones....they are in a distinctly seperate category and should be treated as such....if its anabolics you are interested in, the absolute best advice I can give you is to simply hang around, try to pick up a few things everyday, and when you see something you dont know, ask....expect to take some flak when you do ask because thats just the mentality of online forums....guys expect you to know it all. There is a lot to learn, and you'll truly find that there are always things that pop up that you havent heard of or arent familiar with.

I'll give you a little headstart on your learning curve....Steroids are basically divided into two groups: Androgens and Anabolics. Androgens are drugs that very closely control male characteristics in the body (facial hair, deepened voice, etc). Testosterone is the best known androgen. They are very powerful hormones and believe it or not can convert to estrogen in the body.

Anabolics are chemicals that were developed to have the same benefits as androgens, but without the added testosterone like effects. They are also powerful hormones, but you'll find they typically have less sides are are less efficient than androgens.

for calling yourself a noobie you have made one of the most intelligent posts in reference to steroids. You just want to learn right now. That is the key, you actually want to learn instead of the normal

"WHAT WILL GET MY FREAKING JACKED UP YO, IN LIKE 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!"

posts I have seen

lol

but I think the previous advice given has been great. Take at least a year to learn about such things. If another though is maybe to a PH to get used to things then go the AAS route. Kinda like testing the waters.

Thumbs up

I honestly expected to get flamed or ignored but you all have been very helpful and it is appreciated. I am reading up on the sites mentioned. In the last 24 hours I have already learned a lot!

Thanks again and don't hesitate to PM me with any additional details. All help is appreciated.

My time in the gym today was another reminder of the fact that I feel I need more.
