okay everyone...how do you think your team did? I am a redskins fan and am overall pretty pleased, although I woulda liked to see a quality D end to help the rush some. I really like getting devin thomas and malcom kelly along with fred davis, although i did not like it at the time. If jason campbell doesn't pan out in the next year or two i would like to see colt brennan get a shot, I personally feel he was a steal in the 6th round.

I will also say that two of my least favorite teams, the cowboys and our geographical rival the ravens, also had great drafts.

I'm fairly happy with what the Patriots aquired. They did address some of their issues with the LB and CB positions. I think Jerod Mayo(Tennessee) will be a solid LB that we need right now. I really was hoping to pick up Matt Ryan as a back up QB, but in all reality i knew he'd be a top 3 or 4 pick.

I was hoping the pats would pick up one of my gators too. Derrick Harvery and Andre Caldwell were great gator picks. I can't wait to see Tebow go #1 in a few years. :D

Oh sweet! A fellow skins fan!

I think I'm pleased with our picks, but we're really gonna have to see how things pan out. It has the potential to go really well next season, but we're really relying on Jason Campbell getting his act together and being consistent in his passing. He showed glimpses of what he's capable of last season, but he's gonna have to step it up a notch this year. That would really open things up for Clinton Portis and the running game which I feel the Skins have relied too heavily on in the past.

It would've been nice to see them pick up a little help on D - a linebacker, safety, or D end would've been great - but I guess Zorn's priorities are to do big things with the West Coast offense. I'm hoping he can really help develop Campbell this year and take advantage of all their receivers. Only time will tell...

warnerve, what part of MD you from?

from central MD, but in school out east on the shore.

Yeah, I wanted to see a D lineman or d backs in the first couple rounds, but overall I am pleased. To be honest, I think brennan's ceiling is a lot higher than campbell's and would love to see them install a west coast run and shoot in the next few years. i honestly don't see campbell ever being much more than a "game management" type qb, as in someone who doesn't make too many mistakes but isn't spectacular

I am a fan of a few teams but specifically the Steelers and Jets. Both improved a great deal IMO. The Mendenhall pick for the Steelers was a huge steal (no pun intended) and I gotta say he will be a great compliment to Fast Willie. THe Jets D will be much improved but still no QB to throw the ball

Absolutly stunned by the mend pick, my guess is if 7 OL didnt go before the steelers 1st pick we probably wouldnt of went that route. sweed was also very huge, gonna make a big difference this year.

Gholston is gonna be a huge pick for the jets. This is a clip of gholston against jake long , he makes jake long look like a child in this play. [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yot9ClPvZDg"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/nomedia]

I'm a Steeler's fan and I was pumped to see our first two picks go for quality offensive weapons. I believe our goal was to get one of the top OT or OG, but with the top 6-8 gone in the first round, I like that Tomlin decided to pick Mend. Then to pick Sweed in the late second round got me even more pumped. And we did address the O-line in the fourth round with a solid developmental OT. Our third round DE pick was pretty decent as well. Lastly, I think a highly underrated pick was Oregon QB Dennis Dixon in the 6th round, because our Superbowl year we won a lot of games with the help of trick plays in which Randel El (who was a college QB) would pass the ball. I'm hoping that they can develop Dixon into a passing wide receiver, as I don't think he'll pan out as a backup QB.

It was def an interesting draft. My raiders did ok with McFadden but i was hoping they would move down and pick up some 2nd and 3rd round picks (they had none). KC did really well with their picks as did Dallas.

I can't wait to hear what Chad thinks about the Bills draft. :)

for the most part, it went according to plan in the draft, with only a few small surprises. I also like how the Vikings came out especially as a result of the Jared Allen trade

that mendenhall pick was a huge value, he will complement parker perfectly too.

rugger, gholston is an animal, like all of the analysts have said, with him it's just a matter of showing up

Hell yes! Lots of Steelers fans in here! Reps for all of them!

I agree with everyone, overall I was very happy overall with the draft. Like mentioned before I would have liked to have seen an OT or an OG in the first round, but that was out of there control with seven already haven been taken. The Mendenhall pick was big and an unbelievable value. Not to mention getting Sweed in the the second round, possibly the best receiver in this draft class, plus now Big Ben can't complain about not having any tall receivers. So we definitely picked up some offensive weaponry which should be able to make an immediate impact. I'm also very interested in seeing what comes out of the Dennis Dixon pick up. I'm interested to see how they use him, because he is just a natural athlete. He can run, throw, and catch.

I just wish we had held on to Faneca :(

I think the Steelers are intending on using Bruce Davis as a linebacker instead of a defensive end.

I love faneca, but at the money and his age I was concerned. Also, his desire to leave, makes me want him out. Personal issue. I like hte Hartwig pickup for center, hopefully Mahan can play some guard better than he did at center

Broncos fan and am pleased with the needs of the team that were addressed. Clady will be/should be an immediate impact selection with Lepsis retiring. Hopefully his HUGE frame can not only reverberate into higher running production out of Henry and all 19 other Denver backs (fantasy hint :D) but also give Jay some more time to air out bombs.

Eddie Royal was a really nice selection. Even if he can't pan out into a wes welker type slot guy he is a return specialist.

Out of the 7 other guys Josh Barrett and Peyton Hillis were steals in round 7. Barrett should never have dropped that low and will eventually replace aging safety positions and Hillis can basically play every position on O.

Only thing that is a little worrisome being a Bronco fan was how insanely solid the Chiefs draft was. Raiders still mean nothing since Jamarcus won't do anything even with McFadden behind him.

Yea I better be careful, the Broncos are a slide that I am not liking at all (first loosing season in 9 years is worrisome to some extent). Mikey S will bounce back strong (we best not loose to the lowly Raiders :D, get that win off the Chargers and I'll be a happy man)

Bills .. well im not a big fan of college football ..so i only about the main players .. did search around when the bills drafted CB ..and was very pleased that we got the best CB out there

2nd round..James Hardy, WR, Indiana (6-5, 217) .. looks like a solid possession reciever to compliment lee evans

rest of the squad i dont know ..last year we had the most season ending injuries .. if we can stay healthy, i think bills are making playoffs :)

best draft > cowboys/pats aka cheaters
worst draft > jags(i think they gave up to much too move up on 1st round

I saw the Clady pick coming in the first round. Eddie Royal in the second was a big surprise but we do desperatly need a return man and he can also develope to be a solid slot WR. However, we passed up on Desean Jackson but it was obvious Shanny was looking for character guys and Jackson will be injury prone in the nfl if he doesn't bulk up and he seems to be having trouble doing so.

The 4th round left me scratching my head about the CB pick up however the more I look at it the more I like it. JWill is going to be a 4th round steal and with Paymah and Foxworth on their last year I'm guessing we are looking at trading Foxy before the season starts or only looking to keep Paymah past next year since Foxy will want a nice contract. I would have preferred picking up a DT like Moore or Bryant though. I'm happy with the pick at center but really felt Justice fit our scheme much better.

Powell was the best value pick at DT in the 5th and Torain is said to be a late round steal. I'm hoping he pans out and many are beginning to compare his running style to TD. I trust shanny when it comes to RB's. Andre Hall is definatly getting booted off the depth chart.

6th round picking up Larsen was good for MLB depth and he'll bring a fire to special teams. I'm hoping he turns into the football player I believe he can be.

7th round was a great round for us. Two big steals in Josh Barrett and Peyton Hillis. I'm amazed these two fell this far. Every team will look back on this draft and hit themselves in the head for passing up on them.

The UFA we picked up that I'm excited about is Aldrige (Despite his size he is a electrifying player) and Woodyard. Polumbus is an intrigueing prospect to provide depth at Tackle. I'm sure he'll only make the practice squad though.

I'm dissapointed in the lack of effort to get a solid Kicker or Punter. They really could have tried harder to pick up Drago as an UFA. We'll see how Kern pans out. Atleast theirs a lot of competition on the roster for each spot. It's very tiresome though to see how neglectful Shanny is of DT. All last year our run defense was awful and instead of bringing in tons of DT's to compete he signs something like 9 DE's to compete with Crowder, Moss, Ekuban, Doom, Engelberger, and Mallard. Sure, we brought in DROB but we needed one more solid rotational DT in case DROBs knee gives out. I was huge on Trevor Laws and felt we could have snagged Royal in the mid 3rd had we traded some of our draft picks and picked up Laws in the 2nd or atleast get Bryant or Moore in the 4th and then pick up justice in the 6th opposed to getting Licht in the 4th.

This draft was obviously all about character though for Shanny and all things considered, the defense had no heart last year. Hopefully these new acquisitions bring that.
