After last nights complete domination of the #8 VT, I am completely confident in claiming LSU as the best team in college football. Let's discuss.
1. LSU's defense will shutdown any offense, including the best the PAC-10 has
to offer
2. USC looked rather average against the Vandals of Idaho.
3. LSU's offense/speed against a really good tech defense was undeniable.
4. The national championship will be played in N.O., essentially making it a
home game for LSU should they make it.
I really think LSU should SC in the polls now, but we'll probably have to wait untill Nebraska, Cal or Oregon slaps them backwards. Let the lovin' commence.

It's too early to say. USC was coasting versus the Vandals, don't read too much into it, they have done this in past years then blown teams away in the Big Games.

Wait till they play in the PAC, and likewise on the Tigers, as hot as they looked last night, let's see them versus the other SEC powers.

As it stands now, UF_LSU looks like The SEC title game to be played twice.

Florida will get more of a tuneup than LSU versus Tennessee overall, Auburn's D and the Ol Miss O but as of now, gotta go with the Tigers at home, but again, too early to call.

Also a greater potential for key injuries for Florida.

I agree in that there could very well be a sequel to this game.....it's that the case i'd rather take the sec champ game. I think it's going to be a kick azz game....can't wait!

LSU still has to overcome Les Miles

LSU is a hell of a team but I think these would be great discussions 5-6 weeks from now . . . maybe Cal puts the hurt on USC this year and we end up in the Nat'l Title
