I wouldn't be surprised if Lloyd Carr gets death threats LOL. Michigan had a shot to grab Jeff Tedford a few years ago but they decided to stick with Carr.

I expected a 10 point win but it was good to get his pleasant surprise. It feels good to beat an SEC team at last ! It was looking even until the second half when Justin Forsett broke out.

I had decided to award +3 for just picking the upset as well as the spread... it's a small incentive to play conservatively and small encouragement to pick the minor upsets... otherwise, picking the baby upsets are nearly worthless. if you guys wish to revert to the prior scoring system (just spread points) we can do that instead, no problem

In my mind, the point of it is picking the surprise upsets not the games that are almost even.

How about picking games where the spread is more than a fg. I picked a game than was +5.5 and I don't see that much of a difference between that and a TD. I can see where size is coming from but that GT-ND game last wk opened at 3.5 and got bet down to 1 during the week. Using games at a TD or better, you can have a game you like at +7 but by Saturday get screwed by .5 of line movement. That doesn't have anything to do with the matchup at all because the spread is really still a TD, but the public will always move that line off of 7.

(sorry if it doesn't make sense but I'm sure Size and a few others know what I mean)

I don't think points should be awarded for a win,IMO, it unfairly adds advantage to playing the safer small spreads versus having the guts to go for the greater reward and risk of the wider spreads.

we'll just go back to the previous scoring system.
pick the underdog correctly, get the spread.

I'm taking ND over Michigan at whatever the spread is by when you post them

Baylor was not the underdog. Baylor was giving points. I can assure you that Rice on the road vs a Big 12 team will never be a favorite.
