| Running with the Big Boys | USC playbook play#1437-3.4b- Okay, Reggie you take an inside handoff on a trap, cut it up to the side line...Hit the 4.2 speed, after about 30 yards or so, when the safties close on you, I want you to pitch it blindly to any blur that even remote resembles a teamate....on two...okay break! |

| Registered User | I don't know what game you were watching but #25 Jamaal Charles did jack ****. It was all Vince, all the time. If it weren't for him literally carrying the team on his back, USC wins easily despite a **** defense. USC, offensively was way more balanced and looked much better. Defensively they played horribly, but easily could have been a lot worse. Bush made the bonehead play of the night with that lateral and White dominated the running game. And how about that lateral Young made after his knee touched that wasn't reviewed. Or that fumble made in the middle of the field by a Texas receiver that STILL wasn't reversed after review even though it was clearly a fumble. Oh well, USC had their chance and blew it. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. And to add fuel to the fire, I'd like to see Young do that **** in the NFL. His ass would get lit up a few times and that would be that. Live it up now Young because it will not continue in the NFL. Hell Yeah. |

| Board Supporter | I agree w/ you Nate in the fact that I really didn't see #25 do that much at all. I thought that Vince played one of the best games I have ever seen, as was the whole game was one of the best games I have ever watched. Look at the score/total yards/first downs and you will see how balanced of a game it was. USC gave up too many big plays to Young and made too many mistakes. Did Texas win or did USC lose? I felt that USC lost. A recovering ectomorph |

| Registered User | USC lost it, but Young was pretty amazing. Just one too many mistakes by USC. It sickened me to watch Young just walk in untouched for the winning TD. I still liked the Notre Dame game better, but only because USC came out on top. ![]() Hell Yeah. |

| It's a Canes thing... | See - I didn't see it that way. Texas stepped up and stopped SC when it mattered. I know there is some commentary that they should have given it to Bush rather than White on that 4th down play. But, White was hot. And Texas stepped up/manned up and stuffed him. And the lateral on Texas' first TD was a bad call. But, Texas had an INT where the ground caused the ball to pop out from the DB (which would have been a catch had the reviewed it), so calls went both ways. And I believe SC went on to score on that drive (where the INT wasn't reviewed). Hang your heads high SC - you guys played your hearts out, Texas just beat you. I've got alot more respect for SC after that game (save for Leinhart's comments post-game). R.I.P Dad. I miss you. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 0 or greater. | Running with the Big Boys | Lienart's post game statement seemed a little odd, but honestly when you are competing at a high level losing is not an option you even consider. I mean he doesn't have much experience with losing, so it's not surprizing that he did not have the perect answer. I know Pete Carrol was not coaching them on what to say after the lost the game. That comes with practice, hopefully you never get comfortable with speaking after a loss. |
