Wouldnt it be great if the lions won the first test, that would just turn the whole thing into a frenzy.

Another hooker!

I had to end my season early thanks to some injuries, but we won our league Tourney

I actually don't really follow outside of local clubs & collegiate teams, but I am gonna try to get more into it.

I used to play semi pro rugby league a few years back, for Salford City Reds. Still follow rugby league a little now. I used to play rugby union too but RL is FAR better:D !

Greenfeather, I used to live in Manchester and saw Sale Play a few games. I've even played/trained at Heywood Road a few times;)! And do you remember Jim Mallinder? Used to play full back and was coach. Well, before the game went fully pro he was a teacher at my school!

I prefer Union to League. Flanker/Lock here. My club just won D3 MARFU's though I must say I had no part in it b/c of a knee injury. Any supps to help my knee heal quicker?

make that a third hooker

Damn, I tried to play two years ago but couldn't make practices because they coincided with school and I didn't know enough to just show up whenever. I hear it is absolutley the greatest though. Maybe come August I'll give it another go.

You should definitely check it out. The local club may even have a summer 7's schedule which differs slightly from the regular game. Let me know where you are at and I can tell you if there are any local clubs. My club just won the regional championship and is going to nationals in two weeks but due to a knee injury I cant participate. Got a bottle of Cissus on the way (thanks) - hopefully it will help heal me up.

Yeah, there is a club here that I checked out, but like I said I had trouble making practices because I had classes at night back then.

I guarantee that rugby will be much more satisfying than class - get your priorities in order. Not to mention that you will forget everything you learn after your first concussion or two - so its really a waste of time to go to class.

former fullback and kicker

I loved rugby what other game can two teams kick each others asses completely and then go eat food, drink, and make friends afterwards? not too many

Yeah! I went on tour to Canada with my school RU team back in '99 and all the Canadians were talking trash on field. The best one I heard was ''Hey, shoulder pads. Do you get tampons with those?'', lol. But after the game it was all hand shakes and smiles.

If you're in the USA and have satellite, get the SETANTA Channel on Direct TV, it's channel 615. All they have is rugby, soccer Aussie rules football and hurling, it's the shiznit!!

played provincials last weekend in richmond b.c. Not too shabby got 4th, knocked off the 1st place seed, then dropped two tight ones. did some second row, liked it, hit hard, ran hard then drank harder. Man nothing like loss of sleep, hours driving on the road, sunburn, and an aching body makes life worth living. lol well it was fun.

I play a little rugby in case you cant tell by the name :head: . I played in high school for 4 years joied the navy and plan on trying out for the all navy team which is the whole reason I came to this board because I have plateaue out on my lifting and 200lbs isnt quite heavy enough to be a really good 2 row. I dont follow rgby as much as I would like to but I watch it everytime it is on regardless if I have seen it or not.
