  1. OMG - just, to die for

so I took another 1/3 of that kashi pizza, spruced it up a smidge by adding a slice of sargento pepperjack cheese and a TBS of sweet baby ray's hickory brown sugar bbq sauce left over from my kids ribs yesterday that I didn't use, and added 1/2 serving of jasmine rice/2 rice cakes/greens on the side along with 1/2 scoop whey isolate -- WOW, freakin unreal good
    ~730cals, 85/55/15.5

and in other news, a bit of random...so some of you may know, I am moving and been stalling until this show I was in last w/e was over; thought I had found a place, was pretty cheap but wasn't too enthused about it, was gonna work tho...well at the show in Pittsburgh I met a whole slew of ppl, one was a guy from my very own town here; as we're talking on Saturday night, getting ready to part, he says hey btw know anyone who's looking for a condo? I got a beautiful place i'm looking to move...I get all the info, and tell him i'll get back to him but may be interested myself
so it sticks in mind the rest of the trip, all the way home, and into Monday...call the guy Tuesday, we set up time to go see it Wednesday -- when this guy said it was beautiful, boy he wasn't joking; maple wood floors in living room, vaulted 11ft ceilings, brand new carpet thruout, big 1-bedroom place with office/workout area for all my exising things, all the storage space in the world, 2 huge full walk-in closets with shelving, ginormous bedroom, 2 full baths, underground parking, 2 storage rooms in temp-controlled housing off the basement/parking area, 3 courtyards with grills/seating (including one on the roof - 1 floor above me, as I am on 4th floor of 4 floor building) -- and, it's downtown, about 1 block away from the minor league baseball park we got here as well as all kinds of other stuff that is downtown
I never envisioned myself living in the heart of downtown let alone in a condo, but I am excited as hell about this, cannot wait - I move October 15th

everybody a wise guy these days
no biggie on the elevator really - my car parking spot is right next to the elevators - literally..simple matter of putting in all groceries all at once, riding up to crib, and unloading

Pittsburgh was very cool man, beautiful city actually (at least the part I was on, near river/PNC ballpark couple blocks away)..right downtown
I was surprised myself tbh, always thought the steel city was a dive since the downturn of that industry..not the case

anyway: check this meal out, preWO feeding a little bit ago

    5oz 96% lean beef + 2oz ham + 2oz white turkey
2 slices wheat, green pepper, and a sauce made of 1/2 TBS bbq sauce/Dijon mustard/horseradish
    1/2c brown rice + 1/2 serving jasmine rice + 3 rice cakes
    yummy

    765cals, 115/55/11

  9. Congratz on a new place to stay and a recent birthday. Hopefully you enjoy the new place. Being that close to a ballpark must also mean you are around the corner from all types of things to get into.

  10. Hey snags, didn't you mention in your last log (around the completion of it) that you may dive into injects? Since the competition was on another level? What'd you decide?

thanks mate..yeah downtown has all kinds of things to do, seriously - concerts, nice new library, new convention center across street from me, the Embassy is down there ~a block down (concerts/plays etc), a park is within short driving distance with pool, and they just refinished the tennis courts so I got new ones to play one...the ballpark was built couple yrs ago, is really one of the nicest minor league parks in the country, very well laid out and atmosphere is very family-oriented - I take my son to couple games every yr..festivals go on down there, fair once a yr etc etc...also, wish I woulda lived down there for last couple yrs, the venue (art museum) where the bb'ing shows were held I competed in twice, Midwest open (Nat'l qualifiers) will now be within walking distance of my crib, how cool would it have been to be able to walk over there, go compete, and just walk home? then walk back for night show...wow

everything all pretty much within walking distance, ima be getting my walk on that's for sure

  12. Pad sounds awesome man! The city really isn't so bad, once you adjust to the little inconveniences like traffic - there's a lot of positives to offset all the negatives. Gf lives right next to Forest Park in the Lou & it's def very different from my place in the burbs but it has its own charms. And if we're bored, it's purely our own fault lol

lol...yeah man, excited as hell, and traffic on this particular street is not all that bad tbh - prolly helps it is on one-way street too
our downtown is laid out really well actually, is not where rush hour/traffic jams congregate & occur

forgot to say earlier: had an AWESOME workout (yes again), mauled some chesticles and widened the back, no abs today
    50min of pure power/swoleness

and this meal I just got done eating, dinner tonight, was ungawdly tasty..couldn't find my cam off-hand, and was hungry/dint feel like letting my albacore tuna steak get cold (things aren't as good then), so I dint hunt down the cam to take a pic -- you'll just have to imagine:

4oz mesquite albacore tuna steak + 5oz canned chunk white tuna w/ salsa
    salad/croutons/dressing + 2 slices pineapple
    1/2c old-fashioned oats + 2oz almond milk sprinkled w/ cinnamon
1 serving tomato basil mini rice cakes + 1 full size white cheddar rice cake
    740cals, 90/70/12.5

total cals for day after 500cal shake before bed will be 4265, with ~585g carbs
it has been a fun day

  14. Quick question. .... where is the home gym going?

huge office in there, so will have combo office on one side/workout area on other
when I say it is huge, I kid you not..that room and my bedroom are biggest rooms in place, with living room not too far behind
where it skimps to allow for these huge rooms, is the kitchen and dining area - which I don't mind at all, kitchen laid out well to be able to use both sides/counters at once, and dining room I rarely use regularly anyway (always eating in either office or living room as I watch tv)

nice solid flooring bro - and sound-proof as hell, I mean you do not even hear traffic outside let alone anything else, pretty tight! it's like a tomb in there, just the way I like it
as for moving - yeah for sure, actually i'm hiring 2 men & a truck, only will be 4 men so 2 can stay down & load into elevator/keep eye on truck, and 2 can transport up/load into crib..should take no longer than 4hrs all told, from packing up my house to unloading everything
which is good, cuz rate is $200/hr

I bet you could hire some AM members in that area for supps give them a scoop of Stimul8 each and cut the move time in half.

  19. Gf just used Two Men to get her stuff from the burbs to the city here - they're like 150/hr here but they rocked it out like they were getting paid accordingly. She was really happy with it, so I'm not complaining.

I think the rate is more since they are using 4 guys instead of 2
yeah they seem like legit business, pretty professional actually..always thought they were cheesy for some reason, I dunno one of those silly preconceptions you get for one reason or another that is based on absolutely nothing LOL
had a friend recommend them for the move, pretty glad he did

  24. I actually had the exact same unfounded notion, but when I mentioned them to others after they made it so easy for her it sounds like other people have heard really good things too.

    Legs looking sick!

  25. UPDATES:

all right, figured this was good time for first weekly update on the state of things...
so it's been going pretty well - training has simply been phenomenal day-in/day-out; body comp has been solid/leanness maintained, weight gain accomplished; and cals have been ramped up in conservative fashion (yet still a bit more accelerated than originally planned)

all that said: I see ways to improve this thing
and it's all based around increasing caloric load a bit more aggressively and substantially, due to the fact weight has been static for couple days now, and in fact lost a pound overnight last night, despite going up slightly in cals...metabolism is simply on fire and stoked currently

so, today will consume ~4500 cals, 585g carbs, and 75g fats -- as we raise the cal/carb load, fats can't help but increase a very small amount, as typically there is still small amount of fats in even the driest carb sources I have; altho, I did pick up some more beans, a blend that contains 0 fat, and will be consuming quite a bit of sirloin with these for awhile going forward
my plan now is to be ~5000cals by this sunday or Monday, and touching 6000 by the following week after that -- altho all this eating is fun as hell, ima have to split things into another feeding I think, as meals are now all coming up on exceeding 800cals per, and will be getting a bit larger than what I want to consume at one time before too long

on the training: again even tho this has been just outstanding, and even tho strength has been on turbo boost, and even tho I am adding size -- I want even more of all the aforementioned
so, after this last day of the split tomorrow and rest day following, I will be going to a 5-day split, 1-basic-bodypart-per-day protocol that I have always found to work extremely well for growth...I just want to bring more isolated muscle group volume to the forefront, and really squeeze all avenues for growth here in the final stages of grow time

I say "final stages of grow time", and what I refer to is the hormonal run; however, in all honestly I have some really cool things planned for a killer PCT period, and see no reason why I cannot continue to push the cals/training, and continue the growth cycle, thruout PCT (and beyond for that matter)...seriously
we'll see how it goes, but I'm pretty confident how this is all gonna turn out

anyway, there you have it, first update in the books -- look forward to some great progresss to report on in the next update, gentlemen

  26. Awesome update.

So you will be going to seven meals a day? Decreasing time between meals or adding a before bed feeding?

    right, would be 7 meals/day
decrease in time between meals (2.5hrs roughly instead of current 3hrs), adding another meal somewhere in day and not disrupting bedtime shake - which, the shake is now slightly over 500cals and will always be my smallest "meal" of the day

will have to happen at some point, esp once I get towards 6k cal load...just no way i'll want to be eating 1000cal+ meals, meal-in/meal-out

  28. off to ablazing start as usual steve . Good luck you need to write a book on cycle setup because you got it down brother!

  29. little shot of dinner #2 tonight
this looks kinda messy (well it is actually lol -- wasn't supposed to look like this) but tasty as hell
was 1/2 Hormel wrap (pepper steak & cheese) with 4oz ground turkey breast - and on the wrap under all that meat is 1 TBS bbq sauce+dijon mustard+wasabi...2 servings tri-blend beans, salad with dressing+pineapple, and 1 serving tomato basil triscuits+1 serving spicy buffalo wheat thins

I should have used the full Hormel wrap, but it had 10g fat in it, and I wanted to fit in a triscuit/wheat thin combo tonight, which has 9g fat in both combined - which gets me out of my allotted fat range intake zone; so, cut a wrap in half (still thought I could load it up and roll it back up, yeah right what was I thinking )...on the wrap, aside from sprucing it up with sauce mix, also added some finely chopped green pepper...and on the salad, I never been a big combine-fruit-and-salad type guy at all, but last night I threw a piece of pineapple in the salad and surprisingly it was pretty damn tasty; so, I eliminated the croutons this evening (reducing fat intake by 1g lol), and tossed both slices of pineapple I had in there -- never would have thought of this it it hadn't been for the raspberry merlot dressing I been using, something about that+pineapple combined just sounded refreshing (and, it was!)

cals for this meal: 845, macros 120/55/16.5
