FLAWLESS INK LOG

OK guys

Matt and Christine were nice enough to send me out the new flawless to test on my new ink seen below...

i will be using it on the tiger (thats the only part that is not healed). i will also be using it on a stretch mark i have by my armpit that you cant see in the picture but i will keep you posted on that as well

log pictures will be again this sunday, then thursday, then sunday, then thursday ect...

I have already put on 3 applications of flawless ink and heres what i noticed soo far

#1: it burns and tingles for about 15 minutes after application but it drys fairly fast.
#2 the smell isnt that bad at all
#3 the consistency is pretty nice, a little different then the origonal flawless which is at my house
#4 another thing is after it drys a little it tends to get a tad itchy but nothing to bad (only when i bend my arm and the tattoo stretches a little)

i will be applying it 2x a day (unless matt tells me otherwise) and i will not be using the aquaphor that i have used previously on the tattoo up until this point.

Thanks for this opportunity guys i really appreciate this!!!

Are you coming to the Arnold? I'd love to check it out in person.

Hell yea ill be at the arnold!!!

One question. After it drys it doesn't seen to keep the tattoo moist. Seems that it needs some sort of mosture on it so it doesn't get dry. Should I reapply flawless? Or wh*t can I do to keep it moist?

You can grab some aloe vera gel...or we can send you some BoBu (which would be far superior.)

Whatever you think would make this ink pop the best. I'd also like to make it purely RPN. This way after people see how well it heals I can show the artists and they may want to pick em up and sell em from their shop. There's a tattoo convention next weekend also my artist is attending I don't know how often these are but maybe u guys should go and show off the line off tattoo healing products

Definetly a way to get the name out!!! I did notice less raising on my tattoo tho. But its stilla little sore. The smell is pleasant and not over powering which is a big plus

mobileicon.gif

What would be the application setuo if I use both bobu butter or aloe vera oil along with flawless? Can u give me a schedual to make the most out of it?

Ok...flawless has to have deep tissue penetration, so you want to apply that directly onto clean skin with nothing before.

After flawless soaks in and dries, you would apply your moisturizer - like BoBu or aloe.

mobileicon.gif

Ok so my mom had some bobu butter from the gift basket I got her so I used it

Not to sound like a pussy but that **** hurt when I put it on and it wasn't goin away I had to shower I couldn't keep it on any more. Maybe when the flawless dries I can go back to aquaphor? I can't deal with that burn

mobileicon.gif

There should be nothing in the body butter that burns? You can use the aquaphor after the flawless dries.

yea i dont know why it burned either, didnt look lik any of the ingredients would burn but it did,

just giving you feedback on what i experienced with it

anyway pictures as promised, as you can see theres some bruising in the sensitive areas , and its right after applying the flawless!!!

thanks man yea now that i look at it, it looks like 1 flame didnt get finished, im gunna go in tomorrow at some point. or maybe later in the week after all my tests are done.

I would wait until about 1 week after the tattoo is healed before geting more ink done it that area. I've been making tattoo appts every 2 weeks for the past 2 months to finish my sleeve up. This Saturday is my last appointment and my left sleeve will finally be done, $2000 later lol.

I'm not crazy about color tattoos but i must say yours came out very nice just be sure to keep it out of the sun as color fades very fast.

I've used everything from A&D ointment to cocoa butter to stuff at the tattoo shop. I used just eucerin this last tattoo that i got a week ago and i must say it has healed up the best so far. The chick from Miami ink recommended it so i tried it out. Less than $5 for a small bottle and it looks as if it would last for about 5 tattoos. I only needed to apply it 3 times per day as it kept the skin moist for a long time. you may want to apply that after you apply the flawless to keep the tattoo moist. I was told that is the main concern. Also wash the area between applications to make sure the pores don't stay clogged with any dirt.

yea absolutly,

i went in today to ask about that spot, he said he left it open in case i want to do the whole sleeve (which i eventually will do, just a matter of time and getting my priorities straight)

i have been applying flawless about 3x a day and the aquaphor just started today because the tatt felt dry, i would like to give the bobu butter another try, but between the burning and the sparkles i may just wait a little longer.
\min costed about 2700-3000 bucks

To be fair, we DID offer to send you a non-shimmer version.

Come to think of it, the sparkles could possibly be irritation from the act of rubbing the BoBu in.

i wasnt complaining about the sparkles lol i just mentioned it (i guess its good i mentioned it, now i know the culprit of the burn), i didnt realize there was a non shimmer one. and i didnt even think that thats what coulda caused the burn.

however if that offer still stands im down for it!! i had bobu at my house which is why i didnt want to inconvienence you in asking for another one (didnt want to sound greedy or like an ******* for asking for more when you were already kind enough to send it out to me). anyway the aquaphor leaves a little mess and is REALLY greasy. the consitency of the bobu my mom had (from the gift basket) was nice, and the smell was great. and didnt leave my clothes nasty with the oil.

and update on my stretch mark... its not as dark purple as it was and the skin definetly feels a little thinner / flexible. im going to continue applying it there as well

Could be something else, but the shimmering bits are small metallic and mineral bits with microscopic sharp edges...could be your skin is so senstive that you are causing some microcuts.

i mean i know its sensitive, i cant shave my face (well my neck) with out leaving razor bumps, and i cant shave or buzz my chest on anything lower then a 2 without getting ingrowns or anything.

however whenever i apply any cream i ALWAYS use a latex glove (not allergic to latex) it makes the creams go on smoother. this tattoo is also in a spot on my arm where skin is very sensitive, if you look at the pictures (the last 2 showing the backside of my arm) you will see dome bruising, and my arm is STILL swollen from friday, and still burning

The burning/tingling feeling from flawless is still there but not as bad (i guess it means its healing ) im scabbing and some peices are coming off but not like they used too (which sometimes would leave small spots bleeding when the scabs come off) the flawless is helping with that.

maybe its the raw skin mixed with the little glitter that is irritated the already broken skin?

Exactly what I'm thinking.

anything is possible plus it was tender to the touch, and still is, from friday to today, hard to get my shirts on and off without it rubbing the tatt and burning lol good thing is the flawless dries enough in which by the time i get my shirt on it leavces no marks or stains.

The shop i go to charges $180 also but I became friends with My tattoo artist so he hooks me up big time. I pay like $125 per hr if that. The shops that charge the most do the best work and by the looks of your tat you def went to the right place. Hopefully he cuts the price down a little the next time you get a tattoo being that you've already spent a few thousand there.

Yea hopefully I meanb he cut the price by 90 bux last session. It was 450 instead of 540 which is always good I'm def gunna finish the sleeve at some point but mygirlfriend doesn't want me too lol

Don't listen to her lol. Finish the sleeve you will be happy you did. When i look at old pics of myself i feel naked without all my tats lol. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how well it works, I'm hoping that it actually keeps the tattoo looking new, as far as it just helping with the healing I believe moisturizer will do just as good if not better without the burning.

Healing is 50 times more than just keeping something moisturized - but I appreciate your help here in the sponsored log.

I'm interested in this product I think it's a great idea, The problem I see when using it on a fresh tattoo is the burning that crazy is mentioning. I'm just trying to help the guy out. He just spent $3000 on a tattoo and it would be a shame to see it get messed up. I've used tried and true methods with tats so I'm speaking from experience. I would def like to see how well this works on a tattoo that is already healed though. It may have potential at keeping the tattoo looking fresh as i stated above. Do you have a list of the ingredients that are used in the flawless that you wouldn't mind posting?

Raspberry ketones are structurally and functionally related to casaicin, which stimulate a sensation of heat and burning. It's through this stimulus that localized healing is triggered (IGF-1, etc.).

The efect is non-damaging and only uncomfortable for a short period of time that also lessens with use.

The quicker you can heal the tissue surrounding he newly deposted ink, the less chance for ink diffusion and corruption.

The ingredient profile is listed in the "Flawless Ultra" thread. I'm on my phone, but I will post the profile later.

Ahh so that's were the burning comes from. That makes sense. Is this new version out yet? I'm interested in using it on older tattoo's that have slightly faded over the years. Do you think there would be a benefit in doing this?

Found it:

d-panthenol
Ginger extract
Ginseng extract
Raspberry Ketones
Beta Alanine
PLCAR
Pomegranate oil
EMU Oil
Cococin (green coconut water extract)
Cissus quadrangularis 50% (reduced content, since this seems to be the culprit on scent)
Green Coffee Bean extract (standardized for Chlorogenic acid)
Ellagic Acid (again, from pomegranate)
Elderberry Extract (standardized for anthocyanins)
High Sesamin content Sesame oil
Hemp Seed Oil
Grapeseed oil
Aloe Vera BUTTER (awesome, awesome stuff)
Shea Butter

thanks...saved me some time.

The ingredient profile stimulates new tissue, prevents inflammation (which can destroy a tattoo's integrity and detail), and maintains dermal structure health especially after what is pretty much a traumatic injury. Whether it will revive an old tattoo is unknown, but it should help prevent further degradation.

One thing I am noticing is I'm breaking out a little in red bumps around the area that got tattooed and where I am putting the flawless. Maybe its the ink I know he used a different brand of ink this time for the orangeish brown in the tiger. B ut I wash the area before eat application

But it did start the other day when I applyed the aquaphor to keep it a little moist so it didn't feel like it was gunna crack.

I have the same issue with breaking out. I have pimples on my forearm!!! I thought it was the stuff that the tattoo shop had that i used on my other tattoo so i decided i want going to use it this time around and just used moisturizer, i had pimples. I even get them where there isn't ink. It could be a number of things that they put on the tattoo like the soap spray or vaseline. Not really sure but eventually i will get to the bottom of this!!!! I don't think it is the flawless that is causing this as i have the same problem and i have never used flawless.

it's possible but honestly i doubt it cause like i said i have the same problem and in spots where there isn't ink. Are they different than normal pimples. Mine look like mosquito bites.

That's exactly how mine are. I checked my arm and the ones that are almost healed have a hair exactly in the middle. I think that may be the culprit.

UPDATE:

The tatt is healing very very nicely, the scabs are coming off in the shower and the color is POPPIN!!!

however i do have a reaction i think to the ink which i will show on the pics on thursday.

How many different kinds of ink are standardly used?

i have no idea but sometimes people mix their own, and there are different brands, i do remember him saying he was using a different brand for the tiger for the orange brown color or something like that.

hopefully it clears its makin it look like a rash a little . but its not the flawless because i use it on my stretch marks, and theres no problems there.

ok so new update:

Rash is still there its weird its all over the tatt (but not on the new ink which is weird), some white heads, and the red bumps go a little lower on my arm behind the elbow and a little in front (stretches no more then 5 inches away from new ink.). it doesnt itch at all its just not nice to look at when i have awesome work on my arm, i wonder if i can be reacting to something in the flawless? its seems as though i got a few bumps now near my stretch mark and 2 on my ribs where if i put my arm down, the back end of the tiger touches (and obviously i put the cream on it). but like i said not itchy so im a little unsure,. i started today with java lather as well hopefully it will help clear it up. it needs to go away by the arnold!!!! any body got any ideas?

the scabs are coming off nicely (even more today then yesterday) and its looking good,
