FWIW: My initial thoughts

Last night I tried Java Lustre, Banish and the Majestic Mineral Mud. First off the Java Lustre was very nice, wasn’t overly lathery.

I understand this as I normally use a lot of organic shampoos and conditioners. Often people confuse the lack of lather as being ineffective for cleaning when in reality the majority of agents that account for the lather are incredibly harmful i.e. Parabens. That being said the shampoo left my hair feeling clean but it did not give it the squeaky clean de-moisturized feel. This is a VERY GOOD THING.

Next I used the Banish, must say I am very impressed by the generous size of the bar. (That’s what she said, sorry if I didn’t do it then somebody would have) It creates a nice smooth lather and actually feels very good to the skin especially on my back.

After getting out of the shower I dried off and began the application of the Mud....O MY the peppermint oil definitely lets you know it is working. I applied it to my face and across my shoulders. Once the mud dried I used a warm moist cloth to remove it. Did I mention the peppermint oil lets you know that it is still working? With the mud rinsed away my skin felt very fresh and very tight. About 30 mins later my skin felt as though it had a very soft smooth feeling to it.

Overall I am very pleased with these products. I will continue to use them and update this as I use them.

Dsade, I do have one question; I know there is a Java Conditioner in the works but is there a possibility of a Moisturizing product in the future? Thanks

Pretty great review. Did you see any change in skin consistency or blemishes after using the products?

RPN carries a body butter called BOBU which is fantastic for moisturizing purposes. I think Dsade even recently improved it by adding in a record 10th butter (mango butter). For you, I'd recommend the non-shimmer version :-).

AWWW I love you!!! My first Mineral Mud review!!

Oh and to make less mess you can apply it while you shower and rinse shampoo, conditoner, etc...while it dries.

But guys are soooo pretty when they shimmer!!

Yes I must say that I am very happy with these products. I am very impressed with the type of clean the Lustre gives, it makes my hair feel soft not oily after two uses my hair feel MUCH softer.

Banish is great, when the bar is used it begins to give you a little rough texture that feels awesome almost exfoliative to your back and face.

Majestic Mineral Mud; good stuff, good stuff, good stuff. I have used other mud products before and I enjoy this one by far the most. I apply it and it dires in about 1 min. I leave it on for about 2 more mins and gently wipe away with a warm cloth. This product does in 3 mins what other muds claim to do in 15 mins. After rinsing the skin still has the cool brisk feeling to it and feels like its actually softens it.

The 2nd night is turned out to be great. It makes me happy to see someone put effort into a nice cosmetic product.

Urban Monk: I am what you would call pigmentally challenged. (VERY PALE) My face feels smoother and seems to have a healther tone. Almost like a glowing palor, if you will.
Blemishes on my back and shoulder seem to be moving towards the healing process. Thanks about the BOBU suggestion, is this a product I could use on my face in conjunction with the Mineral Mud and Banish?

Crader: Thanks I really am liking what I am seeing from RPN, you guys put in alot of hard work and have some very innovative products. My last NP order was all RPN products. I have one question for you. My gf is using the Flawless and she says it makes her skin tingle almost itch a bit, there are no whelts or any type of rash present that would indicate an allergic reaction. Is this itching /tingley feeling normal?

Thanks will update tommorow

The Flawless itching is from the raspberry ketones. It is normal and should go away after being applied and on the skin for awhile. I get that if I use it on my face only. But my skin is not as sensitive to tinglers and capsaisin type products because I tanned alot using a heavy tingler lotion. So I deadened my nerves..gasp!

You could use the BoBu on your face however if you have acne there I'm not sure I would. It is best as an all over body moisturiser, it has a clean light vanilla scent. We have two versions of it. Shimmer for the girls that like a little flash and glitter ( I use it if I'm going out at night or taking pics as it helps pick up light and makes cuts look better) or non-shimmer for the guys.

To be honest, I've used the bobu on my face and I think it is absolutely fine. Considering there are no artificial components and they are natural butters, it gives a great skin moisturizing effect. I'm not prone to acne, especially since cutting processed sugars out of my diet, so take that for what its worth.

And as crader said, the raspberry ketones and the beta-alanine are what causes the tingling. This is actually a good thing as it stimulates blood flow in the area and helps accelerate wound healing. There is a new upcoming product called Flawless Ultra that should actually reduce these effects however.

By the way, I will make an official announcement soon...but we wanted to welcome Urban Monk to the RPN family.

He's been very helpful behind the scenes lately - and we have several projects in the works - so we decided to make it official.

Awesome Congrats Urban. I just wanted to do a quick update here. I am really loving the banish/majestic mud combo. The java lather clean is phenomenal. Last night I used the mud for about 10 mins. OOOOO love that feel. After washing it away it really leaves a glow. My blemishes seem to be healing up nicely not that dry scaly feeling as typical with OTC acne treatments. Anyway just a quick update. Dsade I am going to try to email you you some pics of my VM usage. Crader could I use the mud 3x's a week or is that too much?

You could try the Mud 3 times a week. Just check for signs of irritation or drying. Or Maybe use it on Mon and Thur to put some days in between.

This was very well-written review. I've only had the privilege to try RPN's Java Lather and Slick Pleasures. I'm looking forward to trying their most recent products.

I am still using the the above mentioned stack. I was starting to develop a blemish on my nose and after using the stack in two days it began to heal to the point of not being noticable. I applied a bit of the mineral mudd to the affected area and I could really feel it drawing the blemish out. It also appears as though the my eyes are starting to appear a bit brighter.

That is awesome. I used the mudd myself this morning to help combat the test boosting properties of my supps.

I did another mud treatment last night for a total of four since I got this. It seems as though the product makes your skin feel beeter and tighter as you use it more often. I am still using Java Lustre, incredible clean but it seems like it is starting to leave my hair a bit flat. I will be purchasing some java conditioner and see if it will help fluff my hair a bit.
This morning I have nice soft wonderfully tight skin. I am really starting to love this product.
Good thing I bought three of the bundles. :)

Recieved my Java Lustre Conditioner last night and used it after my work out.
First I will say that the smell is really nice and it compliments the shampoo very well. Went on nice, didnt have a real oily greasy feel like a lot of conditioners do. Ordinarily I use a NEEM based conditioner.

The good stuff- After towell drying my hair and letting it air dry a bit. It seemed as though my hair was volumized a like this alot. Plan on using it til its done and will add snippets here and thair.

O still loving the banish and mud. My skin has started to crave the tingle of the mud. :)
