Tough call. This would take some experimentation.

I find the shower gels just don't transfer scents as effectively.

I am, however, working on a leave-on lotion (like a full-body aftershave) that, so far, is badass.

I agree on the leave on. I have found that shower gels just would not transfer enough of the actives to your skin to do the job.

The soap itself is not a standard soap per say. It does not leave you with a residue on your skin feeling. I know that is why many prefer shower gels.
