Hi all, I saw this recipie on the back of a McCann's Oatmeal box and thought I'd share. It looks pretty healthy provided you sub in some bodybuilding appropriate ingredients, which I have done for you
-2 cups quick cooking oatmeal (McCann's is steel cut instead of rolled)
-1/2 cup Splenda light brown sugar
-1 egg or egg beater
-4 tablespoons flax or olive oil
-2 tablespoons sugar free maple syrup
1) Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2) Mix the oatmeal and sugar in a bowl, breaking up lumps in the brown sugar.
3) Mix egg, oil, and syrup in a seperate bowl, then add to oat/sugar mixture and mix well.
4) Let soak for 15 minutes.
5) Make 3" rounds with a fork dipped in water.
6) Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on sheet a few minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool.
Makes about 10 cookies.
I'm baking some right now, though I cheated and used real brown sugar
Let me know how they turn out for you!
