    Shopping List

How about we start a shopping list of what everyone buys each week. I'll start it off here with a typical list:

    Chicken breasts
    Tuna (canned)
    Turkey, from the deli.
    Eggs
    Lean beef
    Fresh fish (salmon, halibut, etc.)

    Brown rice
    Oats
    Wheat bagels
    Wheat bread
    Red potatoes
    Sweet potatoes
    Pasta
    Shredded Wheat (sometimes)

    Broccoli
    Bell pepper
    Onion
    Peas
    Green beans
    Spinach
    Red Leaf/green leaf lettuce
    Tomatoes
    Cabbage
    Radishes
    Wax Peppers

    Non-fat milk
    Cottage cheese
    Yogurt (sometimes)
    Cream Cheese

    Bananas
    Apples

    Natty Peanut Butter
    Olive Oil
    Almonds
    Avacado
    Flax seeds (whole or ground)

    Diet Coke
    Coffee
    Crystal Light
    Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino Lites (yum)

I'm sure I'm missing some other things, but this is a good look at what I purchase.

I have most of the staples in bulk at home.

    70lbs ground turkey
    30lbs instant potatoes
    10lbs oats
    20 boxes oatmeal
5 Sam's club size boxes of rice
    10lbs of assorted pasta

I had 100lbs of ground turkey but I go through about 1lb of ground turkey every other day, sometimes a pound a day. I buy so much of this because a friend of mine can get really cheap ground turkey that is getting ready to be thrown out from the manufacturer before it goes to the store because they can only keep it a predetermined amount of time, it is still good meat so I just deep freeze it in 1lb increments. I can usually get about 10lbs of ground turkey for $3.00 so you can see why I buy it in bulk.

things I buy at the grocery each week would be bagels, milk, eggs, chicken breasts, etc..
