told you yogurt rocksI also learned the yogurt has a lower gi than brown rice in my nutriton class!! :wtf:
I was also under that impression because you look at unsweetened yogurt and it contains a good amount of sugar but it's dairy and that means the GI ain't that badI also learned the yogurt has a lower gi than brown rice in my nutriton class!! :wtf:
Cooking any type of protein will break it down more so than eating it raw...Man, I had your shake today, I must say it was suprisingly delicious...
So egg whites are ok digestability wise? I always thought that you had to cook the egg for the protein to be used correctly (well it's what I've been told forever) Because this is way more convienient to dump some of the bucket-o-egg whites into my blender....
I take a biotin pill while just taking raw egg whites, but not while eating raw eggs. I feel all fuu fuu buying it though cuz they sell it in the women's section at GNC since it's so good for hair n nails. lolOk, well guess I am in the wrong! :whip:
But I do remember reading about eating too many egg whites, creates a biotin deficiency. Anyone have anything on that topic?
"Egg whites contain a glycoprotein called "avidin" which binds biotin - one of the B vitamins - very effectively. The cooking process deactivates the avidin in the egg, much the same way it deactivates every other protein in the egg white.
While it is true that eating too many raw egg whites by themselves will cause you to suffer from a biotin deficiency, the fact is that nature created the egg in such a way that its yolk is very rich in biotin. One of the highest concentration in nature. Eat the egg whole together with the egg white and you will be fine."
tried it out today, and not bad...a little bland, could use some cinamon or nutmeg, something to throw a little spice in there for taste, but overall not too bad.8 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup oats, 1 scoop protein powder for flavor, 1 cup milk, add water for preferred texture
