Easy Lean Gains recipes??
Anybody have them?
I was thinking about 3 cups brown rice mixed with a pound and a half of 90/10 ground beef with some cheese mixed in....
any others?...ones that don't take a lot of prep/time.
also, I'm trying to lose weight/fat....how much whole milk can I safely consume? As long as it fits my macros is it ok? - 12-04-2012, 12:45 PM

yo. i been doing LG for a lttle over a month. i figure it dont matter much what u eat as long its within feeding window. and u have cals within target

I drink a shake on work days
6 ice cubes
1 cup oats
1 scoop hydrolyzed whey
8 strawberrys
1 cup hood calorie countdown milk
1/2 cup water

Non workdays I eat 2 cups rice (any kind, brown or white), two eggs, and 1/2lb ground turkey 85-100g carbs and 60g protein. Easy and taste ok too.

Another easy pre meal is
3 peices Ezekiel bread or two muffins
Topped with (3oz each) chicken and spinach a lil omega 3 mayo and mustard.

3 chick breast in the pan with
2 tblsps coconut butter
cover cook for a few. throw in
1 cup baby spinich
1 whole avacado,pitted
1 dasha soy souce
cover 3 min more.

So as long as I'm below maintenance calories...I'll lose weight no matter what I eat? (with a good proportion of macros)

yes sir.... but if u fill ur cals with crap.. u will lose muscle weight + other minierals and shiit in ur health. thats the point of macros.
(LG )+(-500cals ur mantainance) + (1g protien per LBM)
is all u have to do to cut
SO if u eat a half of cheese cake to make up ur cut cals u will still lose weight (fat and muscle )

I do love milk and it's cheap and convenient...
Ever since I got my job out of college I've put on 50lbs...wanna lose that and get back into my workout routine I had in school.

try going to a keto low to no carb. lean gains will be to slow. how long u been doing LG.
ur bf is in up 20s or more im guessing. low to no carbs and weight training would prob be alot quicker. or mix it with lean gains. im lossing a ton of bf real quick this way - 12-04-2012, 09:32 PM
I need my carbs though, I feel like **** without them. My performance also suffers at work when low carbing it. I'm going to try just eating below maintenance and see how far that gets me. Just wanted to make sure whole milk wouldn't screw me. I'm weight training every day.

I like to eat:
Workout day fast break
16 oz mesquite seasoned chicken breast
1 scoop ultimate flurry vanilla ice cream w/ 8 oz almond milk
2 cups brown rice
8 oz sweet potatoe with ground cinnamon on top

Off day fast break:
2 eggs
3/4 cup the amazing egg
2 slices everyday essential turkey bacon (cut up in eggs)
2 cheesehead light cheese sticks (cut up in eggs)
1 scoop ultimate flurry vanilla w/ 8 oz almond milk
1 ezekiel english muffin w/ .5 jif to go pb cup
and while I'm cooking my omelette ill just eat 4 oz ocean market frozen tilapia w/ boston bay seafood seasoning
(I need to figure out how to get the 20 g protein without the tilapia cuz it doesn't really fit the meal).

I realize the off day meal has a little more prep than you might like, but its pretty easy to cook up rice and a bunch of chicken one night a week. And the sweet potatoe can be made in the microwave in 5 minutes.

Veal Scallopine with Asparagus Tips over Linguine
One pound thin sliced veal loins, cut into smaller 1/4in strips
Half box of cooked Barilla Plus Linguine (Barilla PLUS has more Protein!)
2tbsp crushed garlic
1tnsp fresh or dried parsley
1lb asparagus tips
I like to add mushrooms or sun dried tomatoes as well, but this can be simple with just the asparagus.
Brown veal in a stir fry pan using spray, or coconut oil, evenly pan sear but do not fully cook veal.
Add in garlic and mushrooms, turn heat down to medium and cover. Letting steam for ten minutes...
uncover and add asparagus tips, and pasta...using the pasta water add about 1/3c to the pan. Incorporate ingredients until well mixed, cover and let simmer until water had turned to light brown reduction...turn off and remove from heat. Plate and garnish with parsley.
