I have mixed it with a scoop of Myofusion and a 1/4 cup of milk and rather enjoyed it.

Add the powder after it's cooked and cooled a little. The powder tends to clump up into a sort of paste or little balls with hot water.

Try some steel cut oats for a different consistency. Cut up some apples and cook it with the oats. Add some sweetener and cinnamon. Maybe some walnuts. Oatmeal is such a blank canvas. Sometimes I add a shot of espresso for some coffee flavor. Experiment a little before you give up on one of the best foods on earth!

I highly suggest everyone try Agave Nectar in their oatmeal. The vanilla flavor is absolutely phenomenal IMO!

I used to mix whey in mine. Depends on my diet. Cinnamon is a must for taste and chock full of antioxidants, plus cinnamtannin 1B for blood sugar control when eating carbs.

How about cream of wheat? Steel cut oats are even lower GI but take a lot longer to cook. Oat bran is something you either love or hate. Wheat germ too.

Food/caloric intake is what you should be concerned with if your goal is to reduce bodyfat/increase muscle mass (which ultimately leads to fat loss). Oatmeal is a fibrous food dense with nutrients so it can be included in virtually any diet.

I mix 1/2 cup of oats with 2 scoops of whey (what ever flavor I have at the time) add water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. It turns to a state where you can just drink it down. Its the only way I can get oatmeal down (the texture of cooked oatmeal is no good).

YES! Take 1 cup dry oats. 1 or 2 scoops of a good CInna bun Isolate. Then add around a cup of water and stir till all mixed in. Nuke that and OMG it's so good. I'll never eat plain oats again!

I would wait and add the protein after you've microwaved the initial oatmeal mixture.

Try adding 1/2 cup of dry oats in with your normal protein shake in the blender. I go 2 scoops chocolate protein, a bit of water, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 banana, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and a good amount of ice all blended. Makes a fantastic shake, about 560 cal, and the oats actually add a great texture.
