I got inspired by the other French Toast thread so I thought I'd share this protein-packed stuffed french toast recipe.
Recipe makes two French Toast "Sandwiches"
2 Tbsp Strawberry Preserves
1 Tbsp Butter
1 Cup Cottage Cheese
4-6 Egg Whites
1/2 Cup Milk
4 slices Bread
First, melt butter slightly. Next, mix butter with preserves and cottage cheese until even. Spread this mixture evenly on the four slices of bread. Next, make batter from egg whites, milk and cinnamon, beaten together well. Dip the sandwiches into the batter and place in heated skillet and cook as normal French Toast, pouring any extra batter over top.
