So I just put this recipe to use on some of my personally caught Alaskan King Salmon - so you know I trust it!!

This marinade makes enough for 4 salmon steaks (2"x4")

Ingredients:

4 salmon steaks
1/4 cup olive oil
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 green onions (chopped)
1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
1 tsp of ground ginger (or 2 tsp of fresh grated ginger)

Steps:

Mix oil, soy sauce, onions, garlic, and ginger in bowl. Place salmon steaks in medium sized baking pan, then pour on the mixture.

Let salmon sit in marinade for 1 hour in the fridge (DO NOT let it sit over an hour or the soy will begin to cook the salmon!)

Once grill is ready (and I recommend alder or oak chips in grill for best flavor) place the steaks on for 4 minutes per side.

Then wah-lah! You have a great tasting, grilled & marinated, salmon dinner. I usually have this with a low carb spinach salad for a side.

Heh, thats a first for me. I usually only hear praise when it comes to salmon. To each their own. I imagine this would go good on any fish really, or probably chicken too. I just really like it because it adds awesome flavor without a nutritional downside. Plus, it's perfect for anyone on the CKD or trying to stay in keto because it adds hardly any carbs (if any) at all.

Who knows - just give it a shot on anything and tell me what you think.
