What is Sustain Alpha?

Sustain Alpha is a natural testosterone boosting cream that stimulates the body's own production of testosterone. This supports male vitality, libido, and erectile function. The formula dries within minutes, leaving the skin clean and moisturized. At five pumps Sustain Alpha will last 23 applications, at 6 pumps it will last 19 applications.

Sustain Alpha does not contain any pro-hormones or steroidal ingredients. Instead, we packed Sustain Alpha with botanical extracts, and "aromatic-stimulators" to surge testosterone production. This makes Sustain Alpha a safe, healthy and legal male enhancement formula for virtually anybody. By increasing the "testosterone-production-signal" from the brain, Sustain Alpha increases the production of testosterone from the testes. More testosterone means more strength, confidence and sexual prowess.

Consider Sustain Alpha the natural alternative to Dermacrine. Sustain Alpha can also be used as post cycle therapy (PCT) for pro-hormone products (i.e. Dermacrine) to maximize testosterone production after a cycle.

How exactly does Sustain Alpha increase Testosterone?

To understand how Sustain Alpha increases Testosterone it’s important to understand the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Testicular-Axis (HPTA).

In a normal healthy male, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) are sent from the brain (the pituitary) to stimulate the testes to make testosterone and sperm.

The release of LH & FSH from the pituitary is stimulated by Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is stimulated to produce GnRH when it senses low levels of steroid hormones, such as testosterone and estrogen. (hypothalamus [GnRH] --- > pituitary [LH & FSH]--- > testes [testosterone])

On the other hand, when the brain detects high levels of steroid hormones it suppresses the release of GnRH, LH & FSH, and eventually testosterone production. This is called the negative feedback loop – the normal daily rhythm of hormone production.

Sustain Alpha increases GrRH release by preventing the negative feedback of steroid hormones on the hypothalamus through GABAergic modulation and estrogen blockage.

In other words, Sustain Alpha offsets the suppression of steroid hormones in the brain, allowing the body to produce more testosterone than it normally would, by up-regulating GnRH and LH & FSH.

Sustain Alpha pushes LH & FSH even higher by direct aromatic stimulation of the hypothalamic and pituitary cells. This is accomplished with natural volatile oils that absorb and penetrate directly into the hypothalamic region upon inhalation.

* Remember, maintaining normal levels of estrogen is an important part of maintaining libido, muscle recovery, and testicular function. Therefore, it is undesirable to overly suppress estrogen levels. The natural anti-estrogens in Sustain Alpha gently balance and control estrogen levels, without overly suppressing them.

What sort of results should I expect?

As testosterone climbs to its maximum potential, the following results become noticeable -

Improved libido
More frequent & harder erections
Increased ejaculatory volume
Improved sense of well-being & social confidence
More prominent gains in the gym

What are the ingredients and how do they work?

The first ingredient in Sustain Alpha, that has recently become well known for its heart-health and life-extending benefits, is resveratrol. Aside from the noteworthy health benefits, resveratrol is an "estrogen blocker" because of its unique chemical structure which binds to the estrogen receptor, thus blocking estrogenic activity. (1,2) As discussed before, blocking estrogen can help increase LH & FSH levels.

The estrogen modulating effects of resveratrol have been proven to dramatically increase testosterone levels, fertility, and erection strength in several animal studies, without any side-effects. (3-4) Other research with resveratrol has uncovered its supportive role in healthy blood vessel function - a great benefit for any male interested in improving his heart-health and erection fullness. (4,9)

The second ingredient in Sustain Alpha is 7,8 Benzoflavone. This neuro-active flavone has the ability to pass the blood brain barrier and block the suppression GnRH release through modulation of the GABAergic receptor complex. (6,7,21-30)

7,8 Benzoflavone also has the unique ability to reduce production of potentially dangerous and cancer causing estrogenic metabolites, such as 4-hydroxylated quinines. (11) Other research has shown 7,8 benzoflavone to have positive effects on libido due to its aphrodisiac and anxiolytic (anxiety-relieving) effects. (10-13)

The final assembly of ingredients is a proprietary blend of essential oils including diallyldisulfide, clary sage, sandalwood, ginger, and lime. Aside from being readily absorbed by the skin, these essential oils are rapidly taken into the body by inhalation during product application. (14,20) That’s right, the oils evaporate, enter the nasal cavity, and immediately enter the brain by passing the nasal mucosa. This offers instant oxygenation and stimulation of the hypothalamus and pituitary glands through activation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) (15-19)

Can Sustain Alpha be used for PCT?

Yes, Sustain Alpha can successfully be used as a part of PCT for re-starting testosterone production after a suppressive cycle. For maximum effectiveness, we recommend stacking Sustain Alpha with Toco-8 for enhancing testicular sensitivity and intensifying testosterone production. For the maximum amplification of testosterone production, we recommend a stack of Sustain Alpha, Toco-8 and EndoAmp - aka, the Testosterone Recovery Stack.

For more information about using Sustain Alpha for PCT, please visit our forum.

Are there any side-effects?

When using Sustain Alpha as recommended, the incidence of side effects are extremely unlikely, unless there is a skin allergen that would prohibit use.

Well since I commented about my run of Dermacrine in the Dermacrine write up I will post my experience with Sustain Alpha. The product applies nice and dries much faster than Dermacrine. It has an odd herbal smell but it tends to grow on you. The first week I didnt notice much but towards the tail end of week 2 it was apparent that my libido was in high gear. Let me note that I have been married for 15 years so having sex 1-2 times a week was average and I was satisfied with that. Well no joke I wanted sex twice a day and it was to the point where it was comical. Put it this way, fat chicks start looking real good on this stuff. The super high libido lasted about a week. After that I said to myself thats cool but is that all this is going to do for me, well around the tail end of week 3 thats when I started to notice some real nice muscle hardness and amazing pumps in the gym. This was a really great follow up product for the Dermacrine. Im kinda bummed that I only ran it for a month. I have been off it for a week now and I still feel great.

Thanks for getting back to me. We both want to use the product as an antioxidant. I think as a transdermal it will be more bio avalible. I'm concerned that it may lower her estrogen levels.

The women who I have seen use this product have noticed a balance of estrogen with a slight increase in testosterone. Not saying this will work for everyone, as it is hard to tell exactly what the effect would be for women because it hasn't been tested.

What I love about PP products, there is always a scientifically based explanation. None of that "proprietary blend" nonsense. That makes me feel much more comfortable about using them.

Resveratrol for prevention in human prostate cancer

October 14th, 2009 - With over a decade of test tube and animal research behind resveratrols anti-cancer benefits, it finally appears that researchers are ready to take the fast track to human clinical trials in cancer prevention and therapy. (1)

Resveratrol is abundantly found in nature in various fruits, nuts and other plants and accounts for 5 to 10% of the biomass in grape skin. (2) Over the years, resveratrol has demonstrated multiple inhibitory actions on the three stages of cancer including initiation, promotion and progression. (1-3) Part of resveratrols action in preventing initiation of cancer is from its potent anti-oxidant effect and ability to scavenge free radicals. Promotion of tumor growth appears to be inhibited by Resveratrol's ability to exert anti-inflammatory activity through inhibition of cyclooxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2).

Resveratrol also inhibits cancer cell growth by antagonizing the action of androgens at the androgen receptor (AR) in prostate cancer cells. Whether this anti-androgenic effect of resveratrol has effects on AR in muscle, fat or mammary tissue remains to be seen.

Resveratrol better than Viagra?

October 14th, 2009 - Drugs like Viagra (Sildenafil citrate) and Cialis (Tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) by increasing blood flow to the erectile tissue in the penis known as the corpus cavernosum.

These drugs increase blood flow to erectile tissue by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase enzymes (PDE5 & 6), which prolongs the action of cGMP in the smooth muscle tissue, increasing the dilation response from nitric oxide (NO) release. However, inhibition of the phosphodiesterase enzyme system has effects across the entire body and can lead to side-effects including headache, skin flushing, nasal congestion and muscle aches. (1) These are very unwelcome side-effects when trying to stimulate sexual arousal.

New research suggests that resveratrol can also trigger erections by promoting blood flow to the erectile tissue in the penis. (2) This vasodilatory effect appears to occur within minutes of resveratrol exposure, suggesting that supplementation may provide a quick temporary boost in sexual performance. (3)

Evidence suggests that resveratrol does not have the side-effects typically associated with popular ED drugs. Resveratrol improves vasodilation by multiple cellular mechanisms, and does not negatively inhibit the phosphodiesterase enzyme system, which can lead to unwanted side-effects. (3) Whether or not resveratrol is a worthy substitute to powerful prescription drugs such as Viagra and Cialis remains to be determined.
