Forty bucks for powered berries!?” - Anonymous Customer

True, $42.95 is a decent amount of money, but how does it compare to berries from the grocery store?

I had to find out, so I headed to the local grocery store to buy some organic berry’s -

Frozen Organic Strawberry’s ($4.15/283g bag)
Frozen Organic Raspberry’s ($4.55/284g bag)
Frozen Organic Blueberry’s ($4.55/227g bag)
Frozen Organic Cherry’s ($4.55/284g bag)
Organic Pomegranate ($3.99/each)
Frozen Organic Cranberry’s ($4.29/283g bag)

Then, I calculated the ratio’s of fruit found in Vitaberry® to figure how much it would cost to make a 60-serving bottle of Vitaberry with fresh or frozen fruit -

Cost of fresh/frozen organic fruit to make Vitaberry - $39.00+

So really, Vitaberry is around the same price as what you’d pay at the grocery store except you don’t need to shop for berries, measure, portion and blend them. Instead, just take a scoop of Vitaberry with water, and bam, you’ve got a glass of glorious fruitiness.

And glorious it is – The fruits has been sourced from the best organic farms in the world, and freeze-dried to preserve every ounce of health promoting nutrients, and standardized to contain an impressive 4000 ORAC value for every 5gm serving. (1)

In case you’re wondering, ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbent Capacity. In laymen’s terms, the ORAC value is the total antioxidant capacity of all the phyto-constituents of a given sample. The higher the ORAC, the higher the anti-oxidant ability, and the better it can protect our DNA from damage by dangerous free-radicals that infiltrate our body every day.

According to the USDA, the average serving of fruit or vegetable has an ORAC rating of 400-500. This means that each serving of Vitaberry is equivalent to about 7-8 servings of fruits & vegetables in anti-oxidant power!

So why did we choose an organic blend?

Because organic fruits (and vegetables) have a higher nutritional value, meaning they have a higher concentration of vitamins, flavonoids, polyphenols, anthocyanins, chlorogenic acid and hundreds of other health supporting plant compounds. (6) Organic also means that its GMO free, sewage free, and pesticide free. From this prospective, you really pay for what you don’t want.

To put it simply; Organic is a major factor for supporting a long lasting, disease free, and cancer free life. (2-5)

How would I use Vitaberry? And when would I take it?

Vitaberry is a 100% natural nutrient loaded beverage, so it would be fine to consume anytime of the day. Each serving contains only 3gm of naturally occurring sugar (15 calories), making it perfect for getting vital nutrients during a cutting or ketogenic diet where sugar and calories should be kept to a minimum.

How did we accomplish this?

By fortifying Vitaberry with two natural plant extracts known as stevia and lou han guo which are naturally sweet and virtually calorie free.

Plus Vitaberry packs a deliciously powerful fruit flavor making it a great formula for mixing with bulk supplement powders, such as BCAA’s, creatine monohydrate and beta-alanine.

Vitaberry is convenient, healthy, easy to mix and it tastes like a tropical punch. It's Mother Nature’s gift to the Primordial Man.

Hey Trauma, have you tried this yet? I've been using the MetRX Super Reds powder and absolutely love it. I'm pretty interested in giving the vitaberry a try. Is PP giving away any samples by chance?

By the way, I really like the direction that PP has been going lately with more supplements geared towards improved overall health. Keep up the good work guys.

Yeah, man. I'm using it right now and loving it! :) It's a great mixer for many of my staple products like Creatine, IBCAA, Beta-Alanine, and so on.

I'm not sure about that samples, but i'll look into that for you. If they're not available, i'm sure we can work something out. :D

Thanks for the kind words as well, quigs. We're trying to make the product line very versatile with lots of overall depth. Having the products in there that improve upon the foundation of health alone are among our top priorities.

Sounds good. Like I said, I'm really impressed. The flavor of the super reds powder that I'm using currently is decent. Kinda like lightly sweetened fruit juice. Nothing spectacular but its okay.

I absolutely love the effects however...even though the orac isn't nearly as high as your product. I'm definitely going to look into vitaberry and the endoamp in the near future.

Oh, and keep me posted on the samples. :)

Any word on samples? I had a dream last week that I had this stuff (yes, I actually dreamed about powdered fruit) and it was amazing. Just looking to try it in real life...

Lol, nice! You'll really be amazed in how good this tastes.

Not yet on the samples though, guys. When i hear word, i'll pass it along for sure. :)

I appreciate the follow up (check your PM's too!)

You guys seem to make extremely high quality products, and I'm getting more interested in improving health along with my physique, so I'm sure I'd like it. But as the write-up states, $43 is a bit steep (though your write-up also makes good reasoning for the price).

It's just a little outside of my "impulse buy" price range, so samples would help!

The write-up really does demonstrate how much this product would cost in comparison to direct shopping efforts. In all reality, our profit margin on this product is very small even with the price (due to the factors that are outlined in the write-up.)

I'll do my best to get you guys at least a few samples to try out.

Oh, I'm not denying that, man. It seems like a fair deal. I'm just still stuck in the mindset of "$43 worth of protein powder is better than $43 worth of fruit powder". I'm working on it, though :dunno:

I hear ya...vitaberry for what it does, is simply overpriced in my opinion. I know it has the high ORAC and all that but still.

PP and Nutra should hook up for a vitaberry deal..how does $29.99 sound?

Check out the write-up; it explains how and why the price is fashioned as such. I know that it can seem to be a bit pricey to you guys, but for what goes into making this product, the price if pretty darn good. The antioxidant profile, as well as flavour system it provides is simply awesome; not to mention this is an all natural, organic, and freeze-dried product that is ready to use at any time. :D

I really will try to get some samples for you guys to try.

Not really, other companies have similar products for about the same price, but only 2/3 the servings. Nature's Plus has one called Red Lightning, 40 servings instead of 60 for the same price. ORAC value is the same (PP went from 2000 ORAC to 4000 ORAC and kept the price the same.)

This is a good article that futher demonstrates the anti-oxidant/free radical relationship. You can see how the ORAC value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) from a product like our Vitaberry plays into the big picture.

Any chance you guys will come up with a vitamin product? Like Vitaberry but covering al essentials from organic sources? That would be great!

That would definitely be a costly venture. But there would be great interest in a product like that.

We always appreciate any input, interests, or suggestions that you all may have. :)

The wife and I have been using Vitaberry for the last 3 weeks and the stuff is GREAT! The taste is amazing. Mix with water, protein shakes/meal replacements, cottage cheese, yogurt, or its also great to just scoop directly into your mouth. I use to hate taking my ON Casien, but with the VB mixed in, its great. Oh and to add to the list, on cereal, oatmeal, dust over trail mix, turns milk into something like strawberry quik, and the list goes on and on..... In addition, there is alot more mix in that container than you think. It almost seems to multiply and expand when you start using it. Well worth the money. Great job PP.

I know BioTest do a similar product, but I'd be really keen to see what PP come up with...;)

Seems like a excellent product on paper. Would it be a good addition to a hemp protein shake? I'm curious because I noticed some fruits don't seem to combine well with hemp protein and result in mild stomach issues. Is food combining a legitimate science and anyone know where I can find out about it also?

if i get this does it mean that I no longer have to take a multi vit?

Vitaberry is a very healthy drink mix (or a flavor system for your own home-made concoctions) fortified with a very impressive antioxidant profile.

You can still take your multivitamin.

just got a sample from nutra planet.. was wondering what it was till I saw this page. Bout to try it out and will post what I think about it
