| Registered User | Captain of Crush Training Protocol Hey all, So I decided I was going to enter a powerlifting competition specifically for the deadlift in a few months. I want to really get serious here and develop a killer grip. All I have been doing is conventional deads, static holds, and farmers walks. I recently ordered these Captain of Crush grippers no.1 no.2 and no.3 I can't even close the no.3 one, but I have gotten pretty good with number one and two. I just an not sure how this grip training with these fits into my normal workouts, and how often during the week I should train with these guys If anyone has any knowledge please enlighten me, I have been searching online, but have not really come across any guides that are geared towards someone using them that wants to improve their deadlift. ![]() |

| Registered User | Magnus Sameullson, one of the few guys who can close the #4, trains his grip 3 times a week. I think he does sets of 8-12 with the #3's for maybe like 3-5 sets. I'd say use chalk with an over/under grip when doing deadlifts. I can close the #2's myself. I'm special. |

| Registered User | Ironminds website might have articles on how to train with them. Also they sell a captains of crush book with several training routines.I can mash the 2 pretty good, the 3 is a beast! i train mine after back workouts when my grip is already a little worked. They are a great tool for getting a massive grip. |
