I guess I'm out of the loop, but when did Chuck make the jump to the 308s? He was a 220 or low 242er last time I saw (Of course, in the realm of following powerlifting, you could say I've been living under a rock for while. So bear with me. )

bigcasino, 296lbs was my highest and it was very uncomfortable. walking was a chore, lower back was always tight, constantly out of breath and sweating, etc. and i didn't see any benefit from it. i'm stronger now and leaner, so **** it.
guy, lol. true, but there was too much in common. same handle from the same state in the same sport........if he had said he was one and the same i would have jumped all over it

There's a lifter named Tim Harold that is just a disgusting human being, exactly what the thread starter was referring to, he has some videos on irongame and an interview on there

It's the motion in the ocean fellas, plus it's how pretty the boat is.
you don't need to be sloppy fat to be strong.. as many of the PLers that Guy posted pictures of at the beginning of the thread proves... first dude is a beast and is packing some lean muscle.
I'm not really in my realm talking about PLing, but I do agree with what the majority are saying.. I just clicked on the link because I saw BF in the title, and that guy that organized cuddle parties, Jayhawkk, started it.. so I thought it would be spicy.

I find it interesting to see the level of cardiovascular ability by the guys doing strongman comps. Some of those guys are pretty fat, but I would consider that given their level of cardiovascular performance, they should be OK health-wise. They are humongously strong too. Them extra-fatties you only see in PL'ing. I'm not very educated on PL'ing but I would venture to say the strongmen are pretty close in strength to powerlifters in general terms. And of course that's an apples-to-oranges thing.

For supers? Or everyone? Seems like the trend is towards being pretty lean from 220 on down at most meets I go to.Originally Posted by NickW

Its the ideal range for all lifters, lifters below that are more prone to injury than lifters in that range.Originally Posted by ktw
