deadlift goal reached.....for now anywayz

You may be right... I was doing 3/4 (just below knee level) deads on a smith(yea I know nothing like free) back when I started for about a year.. but I could do 2.5 times the weight my brother could do (and usually on most exercises I can only do 20-60% more then him (except triceps.. I love me my triceps. ).... pretty much all the iron I had.. near 500 pounds for 3 sets of 10.Originally Posted by Beelzebub

Oddly enough last night going into leg day, I was waiting for a gentlemen using the squat rack for deads... He was moving some impressive weight, (big guy, great shape, actually he looked alot like you, same bald head and outfit, perhaps taller ). I approached him, as he was unracking and I basically said good stuff, been meaning to start these soon. He said you should, but they are tough... etc.. A while later, he watched me do 10 reps of 315 pounds all the way down to the box, and made a point to come accross the room, to tell me, he can't do that. So what the hell am I waiting for.. dead here I come.

I have lots of respect for you PL types. My scrawny frame just screams at me when I try to go big. Does not help to have a crooked spine complete with extra lumbar vertebrate, lol.

Sick lift Beezl, and Poobah, i def know how you feel after heavy deads. I feel like i am going to be sick, but i hold my chunks, and 3 min i am back for more.

I watched the video 3 times but couldn't figure out if you went double over or under over. As everyone has said, damn nice control of the weight. I can pull some weight for my size but I do a "controlled drop." You put it down like it was a grand piano.Originally Posted by Beelzebub

Nice lift Beelze, I think you could crank out another rep at that weight easy. Go for a single some time, and don't be affraid of a belt when doing it either.
