Cutting 8lbs in 24hrs...Need tips

I am weighing in tomorrow around 5-6pm for that meet and am considering cutting weight to try and drop a weight class. Weighed 206 this morning naked after pissing. I was thinking up my water intake super high today, then just drink as very little as possible until weigh in, take some dandelion root to hopefully help flush out some excess water. I was also thinking that when I get there I could go to the hotel before hand and sit in the sauna to try and shed some water.

As long as I keep my diet reasonable, it shouldnt be too difficult do you think? Do you guys think this would have much impact on my strength levels? As soon as weigh was over I am going to try and pack back on every pound and then some. Let me know what you guys think.
 
Only two rules though....1) absolutely no cardio or running and 2) no laxatives!!! I will gag myself if it comes down to a pound or two, but thats a last resort. I was also thinking of wearing a trash bag on the way down tomorrow, about a 2hr drive, with a nice big dip of chew to keep getting the saliva out. I am not for sure what I need to do with my diet though....just dont want to hurt my strength, I guess I will go high protein extremely low carbs for now. Come on guys...the clock is ticking:D
 
Thanks ex, I appreciate it! Do you think it will hurt my strength much? After the weigh in we are gonna go eat out and just pig out on everything, so the weight should come back on pretty easily. I am gonna hate dropping these pounds....it took me so long to get here lol, its just water.
 
IMO if the weigh in is the same day as the event forget it. Your strength will be SEVERLY affected IMO. Just enter the weight class you are in now. Hit your starters and learn a lesson for next time.

LOL yeah I kinda figured that would put things in a bind....I am thinking possibly screw this trying to lose the weight. I am just wanting to cut because there are 3 of us going, and if I cut to 198's we will all have our own weight classes, 198/220/242. My younger bro (who actually is the chopper challenge champion:)) is the other one in the 220 class with knox being the one in the 242 class. I am gonna keep my carbs low today and see what I am weighing tomorrow morning to decide if I am gonna try and sweat it off tomorrow. I just had a can of tuna and muscle milk shake for lunch...I need carbs:( lol
 
2 short of notice now...........if you are still going to try and make
that weight i would up your water (like u said) today and tomorrow
dont drink anything until weigh in.An Old school PL told me he would take
Lasix a day before the contest.That is Dangerous stuff though IMO.
If you could wear that trash bag and
do some Cardio and sit in the sauna then u might make it.U might want to
do like Crowler said and just go into the 220 wieght class this time.

Hope it dont mess with your strength any.Low carbs Makes me Tired and Weak!
 
When I wrestled in HS, we would do something called spitting: everytime you normally swallow saliva, spit it out. But we ran like hell in the shower or steamroom with a sweatsuit and a garbage bag on. Hard as hell to wrestle after a day of that!
