Whats going on guys, got some questions any and all insight is greatly appreciated, thanks to all in advance. I am a bodybuilder first and foremost but I've always had a throwback mentality toward my training. I thoroughly enjoy lifting like a powerlifter and have always seen huge gains in my physique as a favorable side effect. I have found a combo of powerlifting/bodybuilding style lifts the most effective for my goals. With that said;

At a bodyweight of 210 what is a competitive combo on the big 3? Right now mine is sitting at DL:585 Sq:545 B:400 all raw, un-enhanced, lifts (just a belt)

Any good "tested" powerlifting organizations in the northeast USA you would recommend from experience?

Is it even worth it to go with a "tested" organization or will any suffice?

Thanks guys.

Nasa is good not sure if you have the wabdl in your area but those are the two I use. And your lifts look great you can either go 198 class or 220 I would go ahead and go 220 that's the class I lift in. Good luck!

If you went with APA here is where your numbers would place you:

(sorry about the formatting of the table, I cant get it to look right)

MEN’S RAW
Wt. Class 114 123 132 148 165 181 198 220 242 275 308 308+
ELITE 904 984 1059 1185 1298 1396 1471 1551 1607 1654 1728 1750
MASTER 850 904 974 1087 1190 1279 1354 1476 1518 1518 1594 1620
CLASS I 750 810 871 979 1068 1148 1209 1279 1321 1359 1420 1455
CLASS II 661 712 768 858 937 1012 1068 1125 1162 1199 1251 1285
CLASS III 571 623 670 754 820 881 932 984 1017 1045 1087 1125
CLASS IV 502 543 586 656 712 768 810 853 890 914 951 990

You have a total of 1530 so if you tried to get in the 198 weight class you would be in the Elite class. Either way, you should definitely start competing. Great numbers bud!

Thank you so much for the encouragement and the info! One of my buddies competes regularly and has been trying to get me to do a meet with him. I just had no knowledge prior to this of what a decent total was or on how the organizations work weight class, etc. Im going to be looking into a competition in my area soon as i have no plans on stepping on stage for bodybuilding until next year i want to put on some more mass and come in at the top of the light heavy class. In the mean time during my bulk a meet would be a great goal to work towards. Thanks again for your help and taking the time to post that table very good info.

Are those numbers PRs or current levels?
Current levels, all hit within the last month on max days and have been done with regular occurrence, other than the 400 bench that was actually hit yesterday. My bench was hanging around 385 for a while but i took a few weeks off flat benching and incorporated more floor pressing and band work and boom smashed my plateau.

Yes sir! It felt great, I was on top of the world yesterday. Now I've gotta do the same for my dead and hit that 600 mark I've been chasing it for a few months now and it's been ever elusive.
