  1. This is an idea I'm tossing around

    Pulling at least 550 in the 220s (possibly 198s) without any barbell lifts sometime next year (except for a few lifts in the last 2 months precontest to relearn form) I am truly tossing around this idea.

  2. How exactly do you propose doing this? The only way I could see this as a possibility is if your "non-barbell" training includes some training with heavy strongman exercises (heavy tire flips, farmer's walk, stones, etc...). I think you have to include some heavy lifting of some type to build or maintain maximum strength.
