    635 Raw Deadlift

This felt surprisingly easy. It was also an off day for me, I was testing my maxes as we are 3 weeks out from the meet, and I went for 545 squat and nearly missed it. It went up so slow, but a month ago I did it really fast. So needless to say, today my leg and back strength weren't at 100%. Even still, this is a 35 lb PR. I deadlifted 600 last year at a meet, and this felt so much easier than that one.

It seems like my deadlift is going up 50 lbs a year. 1st meet I got 551, 2nd I got 601, this meet I will go for 650 or maybe more.

On some of my other vids where I am lifting in the White Building, it's like Miley Cyrus and **** playing in the background. This was a nice change.

I remember the first time I ever deadlifted 545, Britney Spears was playing.

I don't see why they wouldn't. Who is in charge of that anyway?

Great lift bro! Your lower back seemed like it arched up farther than I do mine. Maybe lowering your butt some more would add just a little more to your PR! Do you ever do any training without your belt? I dont use a belt and could probably get about 560ish. Soon I will implement one for my training!

My lower back was strait. My upper back was a little arched, but that's normal.

I always train without my belt. I only use a belt when going for a belted PR.

It looked easy for you. Nice job. If you have the money, pick up a pair of deadlift slippers. They're basically socks with rubber on the bottom, they'll reduce your range of motion ~1/2" or so from wearing the chucks. It was enough that I noticed a difference in my pull -great on meet day. Good luck! Remember not to drop the weight in competition!

I think it depends upon who you lift for. I lift raw, but am allowed wrist straps, belt etc... From my understanding, equipped typically refers to suits, shirts etc..
