Need some suggestion

  1. Need some suggestion

Hey, just need some advice and input. In early October I started to lift heavy and I just wanted to ask if my progression is good for only being 3months and if you guys know of some good workouts that will help me lift more.

    Age: 19
    Weight: 155-158
    Height: 5'7

    Originally:
    Bench: 140
    Squat: 135
    Goodmorning: 125
    Deadlift: 135

    Now:
    Bench: 185
    Squat: 195
    Goodmorning: 190
    Deadlift: 275

I notice that when I began I had horrible form and didn't do the sets with proper reps but now I do it with good form. All these lifts I do without a belt. I been having trouble with squats and bench but about 2 weeks ago I started to do leg press with squats and it seems to have helped my progression but I'm only gaining about 10pounds each week in squat. My bench was pretty bad in these past months but 3 weeks ago I started to do dumbbell press with it and it seems to have increased my bench but I only notice a 5 pound increase each week since then. Any suggestions how to to bump it up?

    Workout:
With the sets I try to do between 3-5 reps

    Squat 135(warm up), 195,195,195
    Goodmorning: 135 (warm up), 190, 190
    Deadlift: 285, 275,275
Leg press: 180, 180 (I put a pause at the very bottom and I try to explode up)

    Workout
    Sets of 3-5
    Bench 135 (warm up), 185, 185
    Incline 140, 140, 140
    Dumbbell Press (total amount) 140, 140, 140
    Dips 2xfailure

I workout out 3 times a week but only twice a week do I do strength exercises.
Really wondering if I got good progress or not? and at what point would I be lifting a good amount for my weight, age and with no belts/bench suit.

  2. i would definatly use a belt with all working sets in the squat(helps with form).
r u natural, also how often r u training each muscle group a week?

  3. Progressing nicely, keep in mind that you will only go up 5 pounds in the dumbell exercises. Otherwise, just starting out and at your age, you are moving along nicely. Eat good, be consistent, keep at it with compound exercises, and the rewards will be plenty!!!
    Think training's hard,. try losing!

  5. good progress but don't use a belt yet. You don't need to worry about a belt til you are squating around 300. Build your stabilizer muscles first before looking into a belt.

Yeah but if he can't move that weight properly yet, then he could seriously hurt himself.

Maybe what I wrote was a little ambiguous.
Focus now on lifting correctly with proper technique before worrying about belts. Keep on with your routine, eat and get plenty of rest but a belt isn't something you should be worrying about right now. You won't need one for a while until your numbers are getting pretty high. I normally put my belt on when I am squatting over 300 and deadlifting over 350. Wearing a belt now will take away from your stabilizer muscle growth.
