I really don't see the US wasting time on this. More likely they're hoping the constant threats of attack will panic the Iranian population and destroy their government from the inside.

I think that's the hope anyway. Joe Lieberman made some pretty tough remarks aobut Iran the other day too, saying we should consider airstrikes to take out the training bases for Iraq insurgents. Now I'm hearing Iran is arming the Taliban. Seems like we are doing a lot of talking hoping to incite the Iranian people. Iran is a complex nation, I hope Bush knows where he is going with this.
