Congress wants to give more funding to FDA

It looks like congress wants to increase the funding for the enforcement of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994, from 10 Million a year to 65 million a year. The FDA says they need more money for enforcement....hmm.... thats just what I want to hear.

Anyway Election time is right around the corner. The jerk offs in Washington only write bills and pass laws we don't agree with, because we let them. If they got voted OUT of office because of there voting record then they might have to pay more attention. Once your in office re-election rates are somewhere near 90 %.
Did your congressman or congresswoman write it, or vote for the Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004'. Hmmm... do you even know ? care ? Agree with it ?
Let your voice be heard with a vote and hopefully everyone else you know votes with you.
 
Sheesh, probably will get it too, due to all the misinformation out there! My absentee ballot will be in the mail! Out with Hillary!
 
Misinformation has been the basis for the majority of our law since been established as a unified nation.
 
We should be spending money to educate more in the FDA in many areas, not just sport supplements. Would probably save our country lots of money in the long run (I guess this could be said for many gov. organizations.)
 
I could name a couple dozen things the money would be better spent on, but it's all about what's Hot politically right now, is little Jimmy's Mom going to be upset that the FDA banned these horrible OTC steroids? I think not, thats a revote my friend! I can tell you our voice is pretty small right now, with the Landis fiasco, baseball etc, etc. Everyone is hearing how dangerous Roids are and anything that looks, smells or feels anything like roids is a target indeed.
 
Next thing you know, Auschwitz will be reoppened in Washington DC with a sign out front that says "Juicers and Authorized Personel ONLY!"

I can only imagine how many people are members of this web site or others like it. What would be the result if everyone voted with one voice ? Hmmmm.... Yea well I have been around long enough to know thats not going to happen. It was a nice thought while it lasted. I have been known to stand on priciple a time or two even when I was on the loosing side of a battle. So I will use my one little vote the best way I see fit. At least I will sleep easy for one night.

Just what do you intend to "use my one little vote the best way I see fit"?

The last time they voted to ban pro hormones, it was like just about every congressmen and women from both parties voted for it.

I wonder how many people they could feed with that extra 55 million a year. I really do think I'm moving to canada after I get out of college.

This country has a piece of $hit legal system. Last year one of my neighbors stole from a store. He got a 200 dollar fine. My cousins friend got caught will possession of cacane. He did 6 months in jail. Who committed the worse offence?

Perhaps that IS the point, It might do our contry some good if we voted out just about every congressmen and women.
There were only 3 no votes. 2 republicans and 1 democrat with 23 Non votes.
The 3 who voted no hopefully are getting re-elected. As for the rest :nutkick:
