If the roles are reversed in the USA Presidential Election, meaning Kerry wins electorate and Bush wins popular, how would you respond?

If you are a Bush supporter, would you claim the election was "stolen" like Gore supporters did?

If you are a Kerry supporter, who claimed Bush stole the previous election, how do you respond? Do you say that it is just the process balancing back to even?

I think I would just claim the system is STILL screwed up. It looks like something like that is brewing again.

i wouldn't. i think it's bullshit to talk about the popular vote like it means something. if that's how things were decided, then the candidates would campaign completely differently and people would vote differently and the end result of the popular vote would be different.

however, i think the electoral college system is outdated and they should switch to the popular vote alternative.

As a Bush supporter, if the roles were reversed, I wouldn't bitch about it one bit. This is the country we live in, and crying about it will do no good.

I will be upset if Kerry becomes President, but on the other hand, I'd love to see him live up to all these promises he has made. I have a hard time beliving that somebody who has repeatedly voted down military spending and voted to raise taxes will somehow magically fix every major problem in this country. Just imagine how much the economy will benefit when all of the cripples get out of their wheelchairs (as Edwards promised) and are walking around, creating new jobs.

If kerry gets elected, maybe edwards can lead a program that uses stem cell research to ressurect christopher reeves and grant him the powers of superman, then send him to iraq to win the war for us.

I don't support either candidate, but I wouldn't claim it was stolen as long as the election was won within the rules. Sometimes you have to be a man and accept defeat when you get your ass kicked.

This is not a fair question. The Democrats have been "preparing" to steal this election for quite a while if needed. Look at their 10,000 lawyers across the country and their DNC publications saying that even if there is no voter fraud, claim it, etc. The 2000 election was a different story.

However, I would try to keep my cool and wait to see what the studies conclude and what the supreme court rules...

That's a good point; but then again, we don't have to worry about them kissing a big spending republicans ass either...As long as we've got control of the congress, we're semi-safe from Kerry's socialist, internationalist BS. I've been so wrapped up in hating him, I almost forgot to look at the bright side. Thanks for reminding me Deoudes59 ;)

The scariest thing that I have heard (on talk radio, whereelse?) was somebody was throwing out the idea that if Kerry wins the election and screws up hillary's chance to run in '08, he will appoint her to the supreme court . Talk about an activist judge.
