Scott Horton, international human rights lawyer, professor and contributing editor at Harper’s magazine, discusses the conviction of 23 CIA agents in absentia Invalid Link Removed by an Italian court for their participation in extraordinary rendition, the widespread assertion of U.S. governmental immunity from the law, Ray Durham’s slow-brewing torture investigation for the DOJ, why the rule of law is bound to be flaunted without an engaged citizenry and recent courtroom setbacks for the state secrets privilege.

When our govt starts turning on our own military and CIA for political gain, we're officially fukced.

Why do you think they are bringing the 9/11 terrorists to New York for criminal trial? Its not to convict them, its to publicize the CIA and what was done t nature these dirt bags. The way they were captured and held as military enemy combatants won't hold up under constitutional law. No miranda rights, no lawyers for years. Look at the circus they created when they put Zacharias Moussowi on trial. The Islamic Terrorists want to be paraded in front of the world to help further their cause. Do you not think they won't target the judge and his family?

we are so f***... we have elected a man that hates our nation.. and proves it everytime he attackts our own govt and military.....whos side is he on here...how unamerican can he be????

Is this similar to the way you hate grammar and perspicacious posts?
