No joke! I want one too! Not fair for me to invest in something and get screwed but if I have money or had lots of money I now can ask for a bailout! I have student loans that the government won't pay for and I'm a school teacher! Bail me out too!

porn is one of a handful of things dems are good for!

the bailout is just a temperary fix...these companies are just going to run themselves back into the ground so we're going to be right back where we started, its just not going to take as long as this time especially if the unions stay running the workforce!

It'll happen again in a decade or so. Capitalism works great, but sometimes it gets off track and then it corrects itself like it is now. Were not the only country that has, is or will go through this process and this certainly won't last. How long it will take to turn around I couldn't tell ya and it does suck for a lot of people out there. We've went through this with the whole savings and loans crap in the 80's.

Golf must be much more popular than I thought. The economy might be F***** up, but hey, as long as we have good golf courses then who gives a S*** right. Ridiculous.

These cities asking for money need to be saving money not spending it, and definitely not asking for handouts at the federal level. Obviously they are strapped for cash so can't afford these projects on their own. Why should certain cities or towns get bailed out for public works projects from money that is coming from all of us. We all pay to service a few if that goes down.

On a more optimistic note, I learned that all the sick days I didn't use last year I get paid for this year. I guess its only fair, because a lot of people I work with seem to call in sick a lot, but I am pretty sure they are just sleeping in and watching porn all afternoon. And to stretch my optimism further, I am hoping to get a good tax return this year.

Fk, people have been taught that when times are tough get in line for your bailout.
REALITY is Bailouts are KILLING the economy so instead of stopping them people/buisnesses get in line for their turn to rip a piece off of the american pie.

The real mess started years ago and grew steadily.... then it got serious and with every bailout and dollar spent it gets deeper. Does noone understand that the more they spend the more inflation and less that there dollars are worth and/or the more the debt increases?

Its like throwing a rock at a kid, then another person does it next thing ya know theres a line up, like , hey everyone else is doing it. You cant spend your way out of a spending problem. Buisnesses HAVE to fail, cause the rest of the contributing members of society will be dragged down with them if their dumb nostalgic asses try to save everything.

Anyone happen to catch all of the hidden pork in the 1st bailout?

Let the businesses fail. Someone else will buy their assets and do it better.

I put $10 bucks on the table and say that GM will be back in 6 months or less asking for more money.

Speaking of bailouts. What happened to the grand scheme of providing all of these financial corps our money for them to start lending? I'll tell you..they took the money, ran, and said "screw you people, we're not loaning you a dime." Thanks for nothing Henry Paulson.

I'd love to throw a scalding hot pot of grits in the face of these crooked a** politicians.

i dont know about what your guys's citys or towns are doing but i live in louisville,ky and the major here is trying to get out of a 200 million dollar deficit so were all cutting back in every dept, for example, i got hired on the police dept 4 months ago and i have yet to still go to the academy because the gov doesnt have the money to send 50-60 officers in yet considering it costs about 3k to train one person in a 25 week academy. The major has raised the take home cars for the police dept from 35 a month to 160 so if u want to take ur patrol car home then u gotta pay for it,which i think is good cause itll save money but some people are whinin about it but hey no car payment, insurance, gas, or maintance so im in lol. our city has also made furlough days for big companys and all gov depts so when i start if i ever do lol ill have to take 2 weeks off no pay in the first 5 months, and everyone has to do that also. we closed down 2 major parks and 3 water parks, raised the price it takes to ride the tarc bus, and some places went from workin 5 days to 4. So idk if our city is just so bad or if alot of other places are doin this but the major said by june 30th we should of ssaved enough to bail us out so who knows maybe everyone should be doin something like this. instead of asking for money maybe citys and gov should be saving money and stop spending and building usless ****. They want to build all this crap saying itll bring jobs but yea ur still asking for millions and millions so it just digs the whole deeper to get out of.

It has to be a joke, you dont make it in the porn buisness with any help, therfore, like in the jungle, the strong and veiny survive while the weak and flaccid buisnesses fail.

The world needs to quit attempting to erect the impotent busnesses.

they need to get rid of these illegal imigrants. i live in a town with so called seasonal workers, only supposed to be here for "seasonal" farming. they never leave! then they send their money back to where ever they came from and we are left helping out the economy ourselves. also with all the so called proposals obama has been saying... he seems very selective. helping out the banks and car businesses, who say they will keep people employed but still lay a sh** load of workers off. what about the people that do the right thing? its all a bunch of cr** to me.itll only get worse before it gets better imo.

the other option is to tie spending to actual tax revenues, and then raise real estate, city or other taxes to make up for it. people always want something for nothing and generally speaking the people who get into politics arent bright enough to tell them no or make them pay for it.
