Oh wow, the Honorable James David Manning doesn't have a very high regard for him does he? It appears Jesse Jackson isn't too keen on him either!

Hey, just because the guy doesn't have a birth certificate doesn't make him a clone with no soul, right?

I love all of these. The Bushisms are great too.

I will say this, Obama will go down as either one of the best or one of the worst. There will be no middle ground for him.

Why he wants this job I have no idea

Its not fair to attribute our current economic climate to Bush. This downtrend was a long time coming and overdue. I think the Fed and more particulary our switch to a fiat currency fed the current economic situation.

the economy isnt our only problem there bud.. and you dont think the republican party or free market captalism had any effect on it? You dont think when greenspan said sure we can trust them.. just dont worry about it, it will be ok and no one paid attention.. that had nothing to do with it?

but you are right I refuse to believe all of this is a result of a few shoty lending pratices, it is clinton and the internets fault cuz after he left office and we had all that money from all the .com investments.. and when they were all gone we just had to invest in mortages.. it was the only safe thing to do..

As far as I'm concerned it is the defining issue that faces America today.

and you dont think the republican party or free market
captalism had any effect on it?
No. I'd be more inclined to blame it on FDR's and LBJ's entitlement programs which caused our country to go in debt in the first place. They also had the effect of making government have the role of provider vs referee.

You dont think when greenspan said sure we can trust them.. just dont worry about it, it will be ok and no one paid attention.. that had nothing to do with it?
I'd blame it more on the continual interest rate cuts which stimulate risky investments.

but you are right I refuse to believe all of this is a result of a few shoty lending pratices, it is clinton and the internets fault cuz after he left office and we had all that money from all the .com investments.. and when they were all gone we just had to invest in mortages.. it was the only safe thing to do..
I wouldn't blame it on Clinton either. Politicians and the Fed thinks they can manipulate the American economy like chess pieces. The problem is they keep moving them around with a blindfold on, rather than letting the market's invisible hand move the pieces.
