To All My Friends: This is long, but very important, please
take the time to read it.

This election has me concerned and prayerful. So many things to
consider.

About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have
changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news
channels,jumping from one to another.

I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel
if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground
to work with.

About six months ago, I started thinking. "where did the
money come from for Obama".

I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class,
and money was tight.

We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student
loans.

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in
California. He is very open about his two years at
Occidental He tried all kinds of drugs and was
wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind,
did not apply himself to his studies.

"Barry" (that was the name he used all his life)
during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo
and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.

During the summer of 1981, after his second year in
college, he made a "round the world" trip.
Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three
weeks in Karachi,
Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to
Africa to visit his father's family.

My question - Where did he get the money for this trip?

Neither I, nor any one of my children would have had money
for a trip like t
his when they where in college.

When he came back he started school at
Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he
wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry.

Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia?
It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get
money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe.

After Columbia, he went to Chicago to
work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year.

Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.

By "chance" he met Antoin "Tony" Rezko, born in
Aleppo Syria, and a real
estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and
bribery this year.

Rezko, was named "Entrepreneur of the Decade"

by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association".

About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School.

Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School?

Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans?

After Law school, he went back to Chicago.
Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down.

But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland.

Guess what? They represented "Rezar" which is Rezko's
firm.

Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial
contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.

In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago
Tribune reporter David Mendelland
claims was instrumental in providing Obama with "seed money"
for his U.S. Senate race.

In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of
Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price).

With ALL those Student Loans -
Where did he get the money for the property?

On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty
lot for full price.

The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born billionaire
loaned
Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was
purchased.

Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President.

Valerie Jarrett was Michele Obama's boss.

She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any
major decisions without talking to her first.

Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran!

Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008, The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor
to Obama was "sacked" after the press found out he was having
regular contacts with "Hamas", which controls Gaza and is
connected with Iran.

This past week, buried in the back part of the papers,
Iraqi newspapers reported that during
Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do
nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will "Take
care of things".

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that
were born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those
"small" Internet campaign contribution for Obama.

Where is that money coming from?
The poor and middle class in this country?

Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news:

On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times
posted a verbal slip that was made on "This Week" with George
Stephanapoulos.

Obama, on talking about his religion said, "My Muslim faith".

When questioned, "He made a mistake."

Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line. If you would
like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko;
Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington
Times - September 7,
2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information
on my own, why haven't all of our "intelligent" members
of
the press been rep
orting this?

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - "Beware of the enemy from
within"!!!

Yeah, if Obama wins He'll start passing all kind of terrorist laws. With his Absolute power as president, he'll get rid of the congress and the senate and just start passing terrorist laws. Terrorist paid for his education, they even bought him plane tickets to fly all around the world. These terrorist are so smart, that they found a young mixed kid(his moms white), and knew all they had to do was put him through college and he would one day become president of the United States of America. Joe Bidden isn't really American either, he's a Russian Terrorist. Colin Powell a man that more than likely is smarter than your friend and knows more about the situation, also a Republican just endorsed Obama, but he must be a terrorist too. Get over it people, Obama's isn't a terrorist. That's about as ridiculous as the Claims that John Mccain crashed 5 navy jets, started the fire on the Forestal, was involved in that scandal with the Keaton 5, received special treatment as a POW, gave away security information, and only was able to graduate from the naval academy(894 of 899 he partied just like Obama did) because his father and grandfather were both admirals.

Great idea, blame the media for not covering it - but Fox News is the media, innit? They're not in the tank for Obama, are they?

All they have is fiction & innuendo: if they had FACTS, everyone would know about it.

Yes, and every other news network doesn't

If NONE of the media - including Fox - can come up with facts to support this stuff, then perhaps it means that there are no facts to support this stuff.

Either way: absent SUPPORTING FACTS, this sort of 'accusation by innuendo' - this political FUD - is just garbage...and belongs in the trash.

You're missing the point. If something looks suspicious, a candidate should get questioned on it, and respond.

Its not like they haven't had this philosophy with Palin.

They haven't questioned John McCain about his "associations" with G. Gordon Liddy or Bill Bonanno. Everytime a question is brought up about Palin, "The liberal media is beating up on her", It's all bullcrap, thankfully, she has put her own pretty little Nieman Marcus pumps in her own mouth.
I personally prefer what John McCain has done for the most part in trying to beat his opponent on the issues and seems to be uncomfortable with the Karl Rove crap.

From www.factcheck.org:

Working to Make It Work

The ad begins with the announcer telling us that Obama "worked his way through college and Harvard Law." Actually, Obama took out loans to get himself through college, as we heard in a 60-second ad his campaign began running last month. We don't know how much assistance his family provided.

But "worked his way" through college and law school? The only back-up the campaign provided for this claim was a quote from Obama's book "Dreams from My Father" having to do with a construction job he had one summer while he was in college, and an article mentioning his job as a summer associate one year at a big Chicago law firm. We asked campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor if Obama held jobs during the school year, or other summer jobs, but he said only, "He had the two jobs I told you about." Unless Obama had a good bit more employment than his spokesman was able to describe for us, it's a real stretch to claim he "worked his way" through school.

Update, July 25: Three weeks after we posted this story, the Obama campaign listed some additional jobs the candidate held during his college years. Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said that Obama had three summer jobs Vietor didn’t tell us about for our original article: one at a gift shop in Hawaii after his first year of college; another making sandwiches at a deli counter, also in Hawaii; and a third with a company that processed health records of police or firefighters. In addition, Vietor said, during one school year Obama worked as a telemarketer selling New York Times subscriptions over the phone. Without additional information, which we have asked for but which, so far, has not been provided by the campaign, we haven’t been able to independently verify this information.

Had we known this at the time we wrote our story, we might have debated our conclusion about the ad’s claim that Obama “worked his way through college and Harvard Law” more extensively. We have our doubts, though, that the first three positions did much more than help support Obama in the summer between school years; we don’t know about the fourth.

We do note, though, that Obama released a new Spanish-language radio ad this week that puts it differently:
Obama ad: Through student loans and hard work, he graduated from college.

We don’t have any quarrel with that.

They haven't questioned John McCain about his "associations" with G. Gordon Liddy or Bill Bonanno.
Right-o! Not that I think it necessary to dig into that: I think Sidney's behavior & comportment during the campaign so far speaks volumes - and renders questions about his "associates" pertinent but superfluous.

It's a free country: if you have questions you want answers for, go get 'em. If you can't get facts, at least come up with an argument for your position that holds water. If you can't manage an argument, and you can't marshal facts in support of your position, then only you can decide just how important that one thing is to your assessment of things.

Lots of guys on this board have put themselves through school - and even done some traveling - through student jobs & student loans. If you say Obama couldn't have done what these bros did - and that you view on this should be important to others, that's your right.

But you really should try to put together an argument.

I disagree: I've been looking for SUBSTANCE behind the "dirt" thrown @ Obama since the primaries. I have found - so far - NO BASIS for concern about any of it - *especially* in light of the very serious crap I've learned about McCain: Of the two candidates, the "dirt" on McCain is far deeper, far smellier, far more substantial - and more specifically disqualifying.

By contrast, the "dirt" on Obama is plain ol' garden-variety mud. I have looked into the attacks & allegations against Obama, right straight along, because these things matter to me. I *care* about the kind of man (or woman) we select as President - and I care about the kind of President that individual is likely to be.

What I have found is that they have either been entirely made-up (aka 'bullscheisse') & debunked (he's a muslim, he's an arab, he's an alien), they have been blown so far out of proportion as to be ridiculous (Ayers, Wright, Rezko), or they simply do not rise to the level that would cause me - or, IMO, ANY reasonable citizen - serious (or even significant) concern (everything else). Unlike the things I've learned about Sidney.

So please, I'm asking AGAIN: give me something that is neither hysterical nor made-up. I *promise* I'll look into it. Before election day. And if I consider it to be of sufficient import/weight to overwhelm the negatives Sidney has piled up against him, I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN.

Are you really going to criticize Fox for not digging enough?
You, who have slammed the 'liberal left-wing mainstream media' repeatedly for NOT DOING THEIR JOB, ask if I expect FOX - your shining alternative to the never-sufficiently-damned MSM - to do THEIR job?

You bet your mother-lovin' AAS I am.

They are a news organization, right? That means they do more than simply read press releases, right? That means they - at least on occasion - GATHER NEWS and present it, right? That must necessarily mean that they - at least occasionally - DIG FOR ANSWERS to questions they deem to be both substantive and important, right?

So: if in the professional opinion of this 'only real, true, honest' news organization there are important questions being ignored by the OTHER media, what could be better? They've got every right and reason to dig into those important questions, find those answers, and present them to the public - and to do so with all the self-congratulatory back-slapping they can muster.

But please: I'm not being unreasonable. I fully realize that they may not be doing this because they've discovered that those important questions DO have answers...and that rather than trumpeting their success, the best response is "oops! never mind". It may well be that there's more profit for them if they just try to keep the questions alive without trying to answer them, because then they can pretend "the other guys" are hiding something.

Which would be THE EXACT OPPOSITE of a news organization....

Good point about Fox. Never thought of it that way. But you're right, the question has more news/analysis value than the answer, as you can include speculation.

However, on many issues such as the credit crunch, they're the only station with the intellectual honesty to look into Fannie and Freddie, so I'm giving them props there.

You misunderstand: keeping the "question" in the air has NO news value at all - only propaganda value.

Much like your fixation on Fannie & Freddie: if you check the dates of those hearings that were being passed around the echo-chamber, you'll see that they occurred during the height of the Republican lock-down, when Democrats couldn't wipe their assets without permission from Delay. The idea that the Dem were responsible for *anything* Congress did during that period (beyond the usual stupid pet tricks) is ridiculous.

Yes, Republicans had a partisan majority, but all it takes is a few Republicans breaking ranks and getting in bed with Fannie and Freddie and suddenly there is a majority. Look at who ran Fannie and Freddie, who appointed those individuals, and who fought to avoid GSE regulation and I don't know how anybody could reasonably assert that Dems bear no responsibility for the current crisis.

It is so sad that some people really believe this sort of stuff.

Of course I also don't believe in UFOs, the Kennedy conspiracy and juice free Olympias...so maybe I have a blind spot...NOT.

Why is it that politics and religion bring out the crazies...something to do with the desire to control I suppose.

And why are they so intertwined....

Yeah and that paid for all his college

Rob, we got it, Yes Fannie and Freddie were doing each other, I fully admit it. Let's face it, most if not all of their hands are dirty on both sides and they never thought that it would get this bad.

Funny how Barney Franks admits no responsibility for anything.

There were serious warnings, and they were ignored. A Democratic policy caused this, Democrats fought to avoid regulations, and yet Obama continues to blame it on Bush and no Dems feel they bear any responsibility.

Exactly and it funny how everyone is so supportive of some that is going to "change" america, but he has no experience at all:rofl:
not everyone...
not even in his own party. Take the rasmussen poll. Its structured as
For polling data released during the week of October 26 to November 1, 2008, the partisan weighting targets used by Rasmussen Reports will be 40.0% Democratic, 32.8% Republican, and 27.2% unaffiliated.
so the dems have a built in 7 point lead, their poll shows him with an 8 point lead. Most other polls are similar, where Obama's real performance is around and often below (like florida, polling 2% ahead where the dems have a 6% lead in registration) the difference between registered dems + repubs. So he's not convincing a significantly greater % of independents than mccain is....

If I was Barney Franks and talking to O'Rielly he'd only get my name, rank, and serial number...

Have you seen that clip? O'Rielly plays a clip of Barney Franks saying "Fannie Mae is fundamentally sound" 6 month before it tanks, and Barney Frank says not a minute later, "I didn't mislead anyone, I bear no responsibility."

The man takes no responsibility for his own actions. Its disgusting. I respect Rep. Cox who at least had the honesty to say, "I bear some responsibility for the present crisis."
