I've lost 100 lbs since May of 07, and I need some advice.

I'm 25, 5'7 (and 3/4!), 175 lbs

I see ab development, but nothing in the lower section, because of a "pooch". What I really don't know is whether it is mostly skin at this point, or if there is still enough fat behind it to warrant cutting for longer; or should I wait for the skin to "snap back" as they say?so I made this video to get your feedback.

Guys, It's nasty, I'm not gonna lie. There are stretch marks, chunkyness, pimples, the whole 9 yards.

I bend over about a minute into it so that you can see how the skin just hangs off - I really need some honest feedback as to how I should proceed from here.

I'd love to start bulking because it's just more fun to eat a bulking diet than a cutting diet...

But I also want to look my best for the beach and waterparks this summer(Florida represent!)

haha wouldn't everybody. first off all congratulations, thats a hell of a loss! Second, if I were you, i would just start a normal heavy lifting split if you are not already. All compound movements, deads, squats and bench. Do some cardio for 30 mins a day 4-5 days a week. Restrict calories to maintenance or -300 or so. All that fat around your midsection is just stored fat. You just have to work hard and keep at it, itll eventually tone itself up.

Hey man congrats on the loss. It just goes to show that you have plenty of will power. Now I'll be strait with you all that excess skin will not take care of itself.

Your pretty lean rate now and looking good. 100lbs is alot of weight to drop. You got a pretty decent base figure as is. I would reccomend going on a clean bulk and trying to fill up some of that excess skin.

What are your goals.

Thanks both of you -

I'm stepping up my cardio, and doing Vacuums regularly now. I'm trying to eat as clean as possible, but I am an absolute SUCKER for baked desserts like cakes and cookies. My willpower is strong - but sometimes I really just want to have it, you know?

Tomorrow I'm going to set alarms on my phone in 3 hour intervals so that I am reminded to eat.

As far as goals go - I have a "shoot for the moon" attitude. I really wanna be a mammoth of a man for my height. I have Ronnie Coleman videos on my ipod that I listen to while I work out. "Light weight baby, nothing but a peanut". I want more mass on my chest, triceps, and back.

By this time next year I want to have a six pack that is visible without flexing. It might be completely impossible without surgery to remove the skin, but I'm going to tighten up my midsection as much as I can and see where I am.

I'm open to any suggestions I can get really.

Hey man I got your exact same attitude I currently have a torn acl and minscus (sp) and will be getting surgery in about 2 weeks but my upper body is coming along nicely.

If you want to pm me and let me know your diet and training and I will see where I can help. I am a certified personal trainer and working on getting my specialist in performance nutrition certification. I am not saying I know everything or that I can make you look like branch warren but Ill try to give you as much advice as possible.

PS I don't have internet where I live so it may take a day or two before I get back to you I try to get on every couple days atleast.

sorry brother. that is def excess skin. you probably lost a crap load of weight in a short time. the faster you lose the less time your skin has to contract and tighten up. Six pack is still a long way ahead. slow down on the fat loss and gain some muscle to tighten up the loose skin. a tummy tuck may be nessecary but give it TIME.

Very impressive weight loss and keep up the hard work. I am in the process of trying to lose the excess belly fat as well. Since that has been taking longer than I would prefer I am trying to make my chest bigger so it sticks out further than my gut. :-)
