Poobah 128 Pounds lost Since Feb 16 2004

Well I figure it's about time I introduce myself.

I am Poobah. And one Day I shall be Your God. (kidding) :P

    Alrighty...

This is me, before I started my diet on Feb 16, 2004. The actual picture is from October of last year.. but it was the only picture I could find of me like that. 410 pounds of that.

This is me Last night. (October 14th, 2004) 282 pounds, down a total of 128.

Not to shabby.. huh? And if anyone is keeping track that's 28 belt notches down.

Now keep in mind I have been hitting the weights religiously from the beginning... and it's hard to say how much fat I have actually lost.. cause I've actually gained alot of muscle.

Anyway.. peace everyone... and you will be seeing more of me...um well i mean less of me... then more of me when the actual bulking begins.

    --

Basically as soon as I nail all 3 sets of 8 reps.. I move the exercise up.. Unless form is a problem ect.

As for diet.. I log every single day into Fitday software at home. and Have come to understand alot about what I eat. I started out atkins.. and since have made things a bit of my own.. 150 net carbs on workout days... 40-50 carbs non workout days... Calories are all in check for the cutting I'm doing. 2100-2400 or so on workout days. 1700-1900 or so on non workout days. And I always try to eat 200 grams of protein at least and more if I can. Fat consumption is way down.. since leaving atkins. 15-20%.

    anyway.. I like to be around 50-60% protein / 20-35% Carbs / 15-20% fat

Although this will all change... depending on current goals.

    Comments very much welcome.

p.s. yes I know my incline is good or actually easier then my flat.. Don't know for sure why.. just feels so much smoother.. less pain. Probably related to accident I was in when I was younger.. shoulder has always been messed a bit.

    Thanks guys.

Strength is coming along great... But I should clarify that, I am using a smith maching at home.. I'm not benching that much with free weights (well except for the DB exercises :P ). But I have come along way that's for sure, and the gains of been steady and fast.

The transformations is still in progress. I'm still 282 pounds, my weight is very deceptive, I think I'm filled with lead. If I can loose 60 more pounds and hit 220 I'd be extremely happy.

Question Is how long can I hold out with the cutting till the urge to bulk grows to strong.

    Hmmmm...

Also.. I will mention for the most part I have lost this weight without the aid of anything.. but a good diet and hard and regular cardio 5-6 days a week 30-40 minutes per day. After I lost 80 pounds, I got involved a bit in the eca stack. And I gota tell you.. It was great for just keeping me awake.. getting up at 4:30am every morning to go jogging before work and then cooking and working out at night.. left very little time for sleep. Back to the story... I cycled on and off that for a bit. And recently I tried T3/M40hn/MDien 42 day cut cycle... Oddly enough, I haven't lost weight any faster then normal (current average is 3.78 pounds per week)... but I have ate more while on cycle, and my strength seems to have increased a bit faster then normal so thats cool. So right now I'm on pct, and just finished 3 days of carb loading to help my thyroid recover. Right now I'm clean and free of eca, t3, ph's and even caffiene. But I have started to use Humalog about 3 weeks ago.., and am going to continue to do that post work out. The benefits are hard to argue with, and I'm quite comfortable using it. (although diet while under its effect must be ultra low fat.. or your asking for trouble.)

I know it seems I'm getting into alot of things fast.. but believe me, I have researched what I'm doing... and I have done it with knowledge and fore thought. Speaking of which.. I can now say, It was probably a bad choice to use t3... weight loss has been to easy without it.. If I ever use it again.. It will be when I have much less to loose.

Right now I'm looking forward to continueing to train hard.. cardio regularly. But on the very near future my first Cutting/Recomp gear cycle will commence. Test prop and Tren acetate... And I'm very much looking forward to it.

    Keep the comments coming.

Okay... I've decided to get a bit braver and open myself up to some criticism. Please be kind.

First up, my 19"+ Calves... and as you can see they are sort of lean.

    October 16 2004

This shot surprised... I don't look to shabby. Although I'm not really sure how to pose right... but it looks good to me. :P

    October 16 2004

Here is my back. What you think..? I'm not sure. lol

    October 16 2004

Unfortunately this Next one came out a bit fuzzy... But I can assure you my forearms are rather solid at 14"+ inches but my Biceps have along way to go. Still lots of fat on them. And size definately needs to get better.

    October 16 2004

As for my thighs, and the rest of my body. Going up to 410 pounds has not treated them that well. Stretch mark city on my upper body, everywhere across the mid section. Lots of saggy skin on the stomach and somewhat on my chest. So I'm opting out of those for the moment. But to give you an idea... here is another back show that goes a bit lower... I hate stretch marks.

    October 16 2004

Please comment.. and let me know what you think? (remember I was 410 pounds In Mid February of this year and never lifted before :P)

Really good work. I can empathize about the f*ckin streatchmarks. I really hated them (still don't like them) but I've learned to see them as a scar with the story being what I've accopmplised, and as a premanent reminder to NEVER BECOME A LARDASS AGAIN. While not the most positive thing (I guess) it has helped me deal with mine.

lol... Yea man. I totally hear ya on that.

By the way... I was motivated in part to come over to AM cause someone over at bb4u, told me about you. They said they thought Until they met me, you were far and away the most successful story going.. So it's good to meet you. And I been checking out your thread. You have alot to be proud about bro, and you definately inspire. Maybe together we can sell some sort of deit and exercise scheme on late infomercials. lol

intv - Actually I didn't start the weight lifting till mid march sometime.

Here is a link to my complete history of Weight training, if your interested. I started out pathetic.. but the weights skyrocketed pretty fast.. Hell I couldn't even squat till week 8 or something lol. It's sort of interesting, and has changed somewhat over time. Hope someone gets something useful out of it. SPeaking of which I got enter the latest week. grrr.

DAMN, It's like you're a totally different person.

There is a guy in my gym who has done something similar, except not on the level of yours. He is 6ft and was 280, but he was one of those guys who is actually small framed unlike yourself, so he looked even bigger than most people at the same weight.

He lost 120 pounds in 8 months and now he's gaining muscle and is up to 180-190.

Pure inspiration man, keep it up. I bet you are getting tired of people asking you if you have cancer or aids, lol.

Just a bit of a bump to say... I'm down 134 pounds... had a bit of a lag, as I took a week off and went to New york. (still lost a pound there though.)
