physique critique
hey guys im new to this forum so i was looking to get some opinions on areas that i should concentrate on/ pay more attention to. heres my story.....
joined the military 3 years ago, 6'2 tall weighing in at 160/165 ( somewhere around there) and starting lifting soon after. now im at 205 and my goal is to reach 220 by december of next year when i get out. just looking for a few thoughts on what i need to work on.
i currently eat pretty much whatever ( with the exception of things that are just crap) and lift about 3 times a week due to my current schedule. i usually lift 5-6 times a week but i am on deployment right now. i dont really do much cardio... i hate it. i am a rescue swimmer so i get some in every once in a while. my gym's dumbells only go up to 100 and we only have a smith machine for bench so we have to make the best of it.
*Edit-i added a pic from before i started lifting
thanks a lotLast edited by BOOSTED11; 11-07-2008 at 05:04 PM. Reason: photo before lifting

Buddy you look solid, there are no leg pics tho. Id say you have great proportions, could bring up your middle back and possibly medial delts but your proportions are better than mine. Great work!

you could bring up your shoulders some. everything, overall though, looks solid. by the way, how do you feel about those star tattoos you have there? do they mean anything to you? and are you of latin descent? just wondering why people get the tattoos the get. hopefully, they have a meaning. i hate it when people get tattoos just to look tough. i like the stars, they reference nautical navigation and being that im in the navy they were one of the first things that came to mind... I am not of latin descent but the chest tattoo is just a part of my beliefs on our military standings right now...

just keep doing what you're doing, get into some decent pulldown movements for your back (chins or pulldowns), hit some dumbells for your shoulder presses (arnold presses would be great) and some incline work for the upper chest.
keep up the good work
great photoshop skills on your face but the twisted look freaked me out a bit, looked a bit too mongoloid, i'd suggest a blur effect, easier on the eye. - 10-21-2008, 02:41 PM
cool tattoo, solid looking. I would do more work for lats and add in some lateral raises. your thickness is good, I think width should become a focus.

hit some deads... your erectors look non-existant, but could be the pics
upper back looks good... lats could use a lil work too - 10-26-2008, 05:38 AM

Same, lats, or lack thereof, stood out. But you have a great lean build! Keep up the good work!!!
Think training's hard,. try losing! - 10-26-2008, 02:16 PM
thanks
thanks for the help guys.... i know i need to increase my back lifts and thats something ill start on soon.... my dead lifts arent terrible (usually i do 315 10 reps 2-3 sets and every once in a while ill pull up 405 a couple times).
i guess ill start some more intense pulldown/pull-up routines soon... - 10-26-2008, 02:22 PM
i would say if anything back width throw in some lat pulldowns or some pullups to really hit them. also perhaps some shoulders maybe a little idk so latteral raises or suttin idk what do i kno just some ideas for you but you look like your pretty solid and commited congrats
