Aspire, NO, and Headaches

Guys what is the mechanism of action of the headaches that some people get from Aspire and other similar type compounds (even the prescription ones)???? I am wondering because I used to get some really bad headaches from Aspire and now I tried a generic of one of the prescription meds and got the same type of headache. Its really bad bordering on a migraine (from what I have heard) and I do not normally get headaches.

The mechanism is a dramatic increase in nitric-oxide levels in a relatively compact space of time. This triggers significantly elevated free-radical action. Staying hydrated and simultaneous supplementation with Advil, or a potent anti-oxidant helps sort out the problems from the nitric-oxide-induced free-radical surge.

Sounds great! Any opinions on what anti-oxident might best serves these purposes or is any of the usual anti-oxidents out there good?

Thanks.

A mix of antioxidants would be great. A good option is RPN's NoXidant.

Agreed...and you just hit on the marketing strategy we are going to use to take NOxidant mainstream (AARP magazine ads, etc.) - that is, if we can avoid getting sued by Pfizer for insinuating that Viagra has side effects.
