Reset-A.D. and Adrenal Fatigue

I do believe I will be starting a Reset-A.D. protocol soon. A year ago I had no concept of adrenal fatigue. Now after doing much research, I know I have it to a certain degree. I'm curious as to if this product can be beneficial for me. I've never had an official diagnosis. But cortisol on last urine test was high (90th percentile). And I live stressful lifestyle b/c of work and other things. I've got a some questions:

Can this product be highly effective for someone not on stims?
Is it beneficial for some who is adrenal insufficient (have seen multiple posts on this)?
Is it recommended to take with food?
Has anybody seen effects ware off after long-term usage?

Within the last couple of years, I've experienced multiple symptoms. One symptom that I've seen listed is 'trembling under pressure'. I actually had this happen, most recently a couple of yrs ago on job interview. Really freaked me out. Now-a-days I feel sort of worn out. Kind of hard to explain. I'm an energetic person, but just not the same. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

I will add this. About a year and a half ago, I was easily drinking a cup of coffee a day. I also really got into PWO supps like NO Explode and SuperPump. After a couple of months, I felt like they "re-wired" me to a certain extent. Effects weren't like in beginning, and overall mood was diminished (if any of this makes sense). In hindsight it looks like I was taxing my adrenals.

From personal experience and being in the same position you are currently in, you would benefit from reset a.d. It will help get the adrenals in check. I would highly recomend adding nimbus nutritions Poseidon in the mix as well and throw in some sort of greens powder. These two products will help purge your system as well as provide alkalines----this formula did wonders for me.

Nice to hear someone get results of this stuff. Ive been wanting to try as well.

Sorry for the seemingly stupid question but let me ask this. Ive been taking anti-cort supps (11-oxo and LeanXtreme) and I have gotten very lean along with a nice diet. Ive been a MILD stim junkie for years.

I KNOW my adrenals are tapped.

1) Do I need to get off the Anti-corts supps?
They have really heped me get lean and I would like to continue. Do these antagonize each other?

2) Will the addition of Re-Set AD OFFSET/negate the activity of the anti-cort supps' fat loss from excess cortisol floating around which obviously added body fat in the first place.

I guess what Im asking is does it make NO sense to take these simultaneously? I really do not want to re-gain the fat I lost from the anti-cort supps but DO need this stuff as my adrenals are spent! :(

Thank you

hey guys,

To be honest, I am not a huge fan of anti-cortisol products. When you take these, you offset the body's balance. In attempts to maintain homeostasis, the body will counter the loss of cortisol with something to help regulate itself. Cortisol also serves as an Insulin antagonist, to help lower insulin levels after a meal. While insulin is extremely anabolic, its important to keep its levels regulated in order to avoid massive glucose uptake (ie fat storage).
My main issue is that we cannot tell how much cortisol is being blocked with these cortisol products. I do not doubt that they work, I would just be weary taking them until someone can post some sort of cortisol test showing what % is limited.
The key to long term success in fat loss / muscle gain is stability. the less curve balls you throw at the body, the longer it can maintain your results.
--so back to the question... can you take Reset with a cortisol product.... you should be fine. Reset will help to increase the your body's sensitivity to cortisol ...while this might sound bad, in laymens terms, it basically helps your body to get the same reaction from a lower supply of cortisol... allowing you to secrete less during stress, after meals, and from caffeine.

2) cortisol itself is catabolic... it does not cause fat gain (by itself). insulin levels cause the body to retain fat which is why its great, but needs to be controlled through healthy diet of complex carbs. excessive cortisol will break down muscle though, which can lead to fat gain (since more muscle burns more calories).... in this case, reset should help you to use even less cortisol due to the mechanisms i mentioned in the last paragraph. more sensitivity, less need for more cortisol.

at the end of the day, i have never taken an anti-cort and REset at the same time, and I havent heard from anyone who has. Do i think it will cause you to gain weight... definitely no. Reset makes me leaner. Will they counter each other... not really. Reset does not really raise cortisol levels within the body... it just helps the body to use the adrenal hormones more efficiently.

Thanks!
