Do you significantly increase the number of sets per workout while on?
main lifts usually 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps
accesorys vary usually 2-3 sets of 8-15
training volume doesnt increaes for myself. less = more IME

I always throw in a couple of extra sets while on.
as many as my body willl allow, and then a few more after that. Seriously tho, I like to abuse drop sets/burn out sets to no end while ON.
