So i bought a few bags of whole almonds today. 2kg
I'm going to be putting them in my shakes. I don't like them that much by themselves so i need to grind them right up! Didnt bother buying powder almonds as it was to expensive. My blender is a pretty cheap one, under £20 lol. It crushes ice but i'm not sure if it'll manage the nuts. Was thinking a knife to cut them up a bit then blend them, it might work.
Anyone got any suggestions of a quick way to grind them up? Was thinking about just using a hammer. Maybe i should just take a loan out and buy a blendtec!

It you do the hammer thing, it kinda just smushes them though. More of a peanut butter texture...

Just another option: my buddy soaks his almonds in water and eats them 'wet'. It gives them a different feel/taste/texture.

Didn't realise how much cals are in them nuts either! 610 per 100g it said on the back of the pack :O Defo being using them a lot in my up and coming bulk!

this thread is making me want marzipan, I wonder if i can make a bulker's healthy cheat food version with ground almond, egg white and stevia or splenda?

Instead of soaking almonds, why not toast them Toasting brings out their natural flavours and aroma, just be careful not to burn them! Just put them on a friend pan on medium heat until they start getting a bit darker and start smelling oh so good !
Also you've already bought the almonds, but you can look into almond butter Already ground up for you.
