Physically and mentally, we'll falter later in the day if nutrients in a balanced ratio aren't consumed in the early part of the day. High-quality carbohydrates such as fruit is a prime fuel source for both muscles and the brain. Fruit consumed alone will burn quickly, resulting in an energy crash. A simple solution is to consume fibre, essential fatty acids and complete protein along with the fruit. |
