| Official 2nd Gold Member | Ugh, help me!!! Irritable Bowel Syndrome.... This has been bothering me for years, sometimes I am OK, but for the past 3 or so days, I have gone to the bathroom about 8 times a day, 4 were at work, and I had to leave a customer on the floor one time, talk about embarrassing.... nevermind the constant gas. Im looking for any help, I take fiber, and glutamine (not for recovery, for my bowels), and started taking Gut Heath a few days ago. I take 1 Immodium about 4 times a week, sucks, but it works ok. Anyone recommend any books on a diet to follow, supplements to take, supplements not to take? Any info is much appreciated. Currently I am just taking Xfactor, Clout, and Whey protein (concentrate), but will switch to an egg based protein soon, that has always been easier on my stomach. lol maybe I am just lactose intollerant, but who the hell knows, I cant imagine that would cause problems like this. I have been to a doc before, he said he didnt know what was wrong, tested my stools and ruled out parasites and infection. Thanks! |

Have you had a Colonoscopy?. I was diagnose with IBS about 15 years ago. I had to have a sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy to rule out colon polups and colon cancer. I still have issues. What helped me is switching to a lower carb diet. Avoid spicey foods, eat bland. I still think I was mis-diagnosed though...

| Registered User | Have you been tested for any food allergies? Try abstaining from certain foods and see if there is any lessening of symptoms. Wheat, eggs, dairy are the most common food allergies, also sugar seems to aggrevate or worsen symtoms in most cases. Might be a good time to see a new doctor or specialist in gastro-intestinal issues. |

| Registered User | Yep lower carbs and eating more Organic food has helped me. Also eating only good fats, but eating too many will make you so sick its not funny! I was diagnosed a few years ago and cleaning up my diet really changed it around. When i splurge or all out bulk like I did once.....constant bloating gas and bathroom breaks ![]() |

| Registered User | I know this sounds silly, but stress can do it too. We thought for months that my wife had IBS and it turned out all to be psychological due to job related stress. She changed jobs and everything got better. Pain is weakness leaving the body. fish oil megadosing, creatine mono, green tea pills, cheap multi-vitamin, positive attitude. |

Ran out a few days ago, only had a few caps in my bottle Next time there are 75 cap bottles in stock I will order one. It seems to work, when I take it every day, its remembering to do so that messes me up

| Evomcigetarts | There is an excellent product called Regimint that provides effective results for cases of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It is basically an enteric-coated peppermint/caraway oil blend that delivers a relaxing effect on the smooth muscle of the intestines, thereby eliciting a calming effect on the overall digestive system. I would recommend looking into a combination of digestive enzymes, Regimint, and CarnoSoothe (a potent blend that includes zinc L-carnosine that altogether protects and rebuilds the mucosal lining of the stomach) to help repair your system. |

| Code name: The Snuggler Board Moderator | Here's what I found to cause mine and what I did to get back to a somewhat normal lifestyle I developed a gluten intolerance and changed my diet to rid as much of gluten as possible as well as stopped all protein powder intake and took all of my protein through whole foods. I avoided anything spicy or greasy and made sure I didn't eat 2-3 hours before going to be. The only supps I took were these: Gut health Multi-V Iron pill I added yogurt to my diet and cut down on acidic drinks like gatorade and sodas as well as coffee and tea and kept caffeine down to a minimum. After about 10 weeks of this I noticed huge improvements and since then i've allowed myself some room to add foods that I like in moderation to keep from suffering that again.
