how many here use ppi's such as prilosec, nexium, prevacid etc? sure are ALOT of people with heartburn these days. i used a million rolaids, then went to zantacs, then to 24 hour otc's. i don't think that taking these everyday for the rest of my life is a good solution. i have wondered for years what effects reducing/shutting down stomach acid would have on proper digestion? i doubt it is good. i quit the prilosec cold turkey a couple of weeks ago using an old homeopathic "cure" apple cider vinegar. very strange, you think that adding more acid would be the opposite of what you would need to do. but, it freakin' actually works. does anybody know how this does work?
