This is an anabolic diet thread and that is not a direct recommendation from Di Pasquale so take it FWIW. I have been using the anabolic diet scheme for about 6 months...long enough to know that the carb up is too lax IMHO. If you want the aesthetics that can be, follow the macro breakdown I posted above and you'll get your results.
Dr.Di actually says you CAN go as short as 12 hours on the carb up in the Metabolic Diet but I doubt thats optimal.

Yes he does. And the metabolic diet is also geared more toward the couch potatoe/office body/sedentary person than the bodybuilder.

Yeah buddy! The 36-48 hour carb up is where it's at. If your macros are 60/30/10 and you gorge yourself then you're golden. I'm going to start carbing up for a full 48 hours or maybe even a little bit longer than that for the rest of my cut.

He also says that you can go as long as 48 hours. And where I think people screw this up and then get the idea that they need to stick with only 12 hours is from incorrectly cycling their macros.

Yes they are. We may want to open another thread to talk about this topic as it is now straying away from Di Pasquales principles...
