A question i've always wondered...

Well i probably could find this on the internet but its always nice to hear from some reliable sources, and this probably is a dumb question but it can't hurt to ask. I always wondered, what makes up what. Does protein make amino acids or does amino acids make up protein? and if so how are you to know how many amino's are in a gram of protein?(like in the shakes) or do they not come with them lol?

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. You can find the breakdown of aminos in your shakes on the label.

that didn't quite answer my question... i already knew that they are the building blocks, but i just thought that was a slogan... so if thats true your saying that aminos are break downs from protein, or are you saying a combo of aminos are making proteins?
