  1. Good snack or meal before bed for bulking?


    Hey guys i'm about 6' 1" 190 @<6%bf and attempting to bulk but it's quite difficult. what kinda meals to you guys have before bed?

It's generally suggested to eat a slow digesting casein protein before bed (cottage cheese, milk, etc.) But after reading some recent posts by Millenium about food consumption before bed, and my own personal experience, I've stopped eating a meal before bed. I was downing casein protein shakes before bed for about two weeks, and as a result experienced the least restful two weeks of sleep of my life. As soon as I stopped the shakes, everything went back to normal

    "You will find that your night time casein protein right before bed is not needed to maintain an anabolic environment. In fact food consumed right before bedtime regardless of source usually negates growth hormone completely for a period of time and is most likely slowing your repair and growth down. Tip: You will find that time released proteins are far more effective when taken at least 2 hours before bedtime when using Somnidren-GH than when taken alone right before retiring. Somnidren-GH is much more effective and will yield greater results when taken on an empty stomach. It’s the hormonally correct thing to do. Don’t believe the myth that you have to consume food or protein right before bed to stay anabolic and grow. Growth hormone prevents catabolism and promotes anabolism while you sleep, not protein."

  3. Before going to bed the things like milk ,cheese etc is good.

  4. I just drink a glass=about 3-4 cups of milk. If youre desperate to bulk, carbs before bedare great, small amount. i used to eat a slice of WW bread w/PB on it. If i dint have that i would just drink some Truemass(yea i know BSN but i like/liked it) or Cytosport, muscle milk or the gainer.

  5. 1 Tub of fat free Cottage Cheese.
